In spite of the fact that we are surrounded by a lot of matter, energy and power.
We never truly realize how much they mean to the world. However, after learning from
repeating topics from Grade School up to now. I have a lot further information and
understanding about their weight in our lives. Matter is of course everything around us it
may be the device we are using right now and the air you breathe. Energy is the
capacity of doing work. It can be in potential, thermal, kinetic, chemical, electrical, or
other various forms. And power is the amount of energy being released, transferred, or
converted per unit time.

Figure 1.0

This process involves matter, energy, and power by explaining a mini project of
ours in my high school days entitled “Mini Solar Car”. By starting a project and
discussing what to do and connecting it to the required guidelines after that is
understanding why this project is chosen. Looking for literature reviews is one of the
important parts because this will determine if one project is doable by how many related
literatures are present. Choosing the appropriate circuit will be a though one because
this will start the actual building of the project. Relating it to the law of conservation of
mass, matter is neither created nor destroyed. The quantity of mass is conserved over
time and this is what is happening when humans are making and manufacturing things,
every raw materials are converted to another form of material or a finished outcome like
a circuit board, it is made from a paper reinforced phenolic resin with a bonded copper
foil. Listing and ordering parts is a pain in the pocket but with the right picking of parts
and searching for a reliable and cheap store it can save us money and invest it to more
important things. Building the received circuits will make us halfway to finish the project.
Once the circuits are done its time to test if converting solar energy to mechanical
energy is working using a 12v mini solar panel and two pieces of dynamo. The solar
panel is giving power to the dynamos by absorbing solar energy from the sun and
converting it to electrical energy and our dynamo will run by converting electrical energy
to mechanical energy. But not all of the energy converted are a hundred percent
transferred but there is what we call waste energy, example of it is heat energy it is
when the dynamo runs over a period of time were it produces heat energy and we have
no other way to conserve or convert it to other energy but to let it be. After that is where
we have a working mini solar car but of course every works have problems and it’s
when troubleshooting comes in and revolving it to building circuit and test it until we got
our desired outcome and submit a final report.
