• Sampled river water to determine the composition and levels of chemicals found
• Placed and retrieved leaf packs after a period of one month

Island Biogeography Project Stockton 2020
• Constructed artificial islands out of foam pool noodles, corrugated plastic sheets, plastic tarp,
and plastic cable ties
• Placed islands in a lake on campus and used cinder blocks to anchor them in place
• Filled the islands with soil
• Recorded if plants had sprouted on the islands after a few weeks placing them in the lake
• After eight weeks, recorded final measurements of first recorded plants and if any new ones
grew

Biodiversity Project Stockton 2020
• Chose three different plant species to create a monoculture of each plant and three mixtures of
the plants.
• Let the plants grow for about two months
• Placed them in a drying oven after growth period to obtain their dry mass
