Eje 1: Who’s who?


GRAMÁTICA: Word order in questions. Present Simple / Present Continuous. Defining
relative clauses.
VOCABULARIO Y LECTURAS: Common verb phrases, classroom language. Family,
personality adjectives. The body, prepositions of place. Expression for paraphrasing: like, for
example, etc.

Eje 2: Right place, wrong time


GRAMÁTICA: Past simple regular and irregular verbs. Past continuous. Questions with and
without auxiliaries. So, because, but, although.
VOCABULARIO Y LECTURAS: Holidays. Prepositions of time and place: at, in, on. Question
words, pop music, verb prhases.

Eje 3: Where are you going?


GRAMÁTICA: Going to, present continuous (future arrangements). Will / Won’t (predictions).
Will / Won’t (promises, offers, decisions, etc). Review of tenses: present, past, and future.
VOCABULARIO Y LECTURAS: Look (after, for, etc.). Verb + back. Verbs + prepositions.
Eje 4: From ragas to riches!
GRAMÁTICA: Present Perfect (experience) + ever, never. Present perfect or past simple.
Comparatives, as … as / less… than… Superlatives (+ ever + present perfect)
VOCABULARIO Y LECTURAS: Clothes. Verb prhases. Time expressions: spend time, waste
time, etc. Opposite adjectives
ESCRITURA: Temas de redacción: Describing yourself. The story behind the photo. An
informal letter. Describing where you live.

LECTURA: New Yorkers (Oxford)
