A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE EXPANSION AND CONVERSION OF

POTENCIANO A. MABANDING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INTO AN INTEGRATED
SCHOOL OFFERING COMPLETE ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

WHEREAS, pursuant to United nation’s Declaration on Education for All stated that all
people ,children, young people & adults, have the human rights to an education that is geared to
tapping each individual’s talent and potential so that they can improve their lives and transform
their societies;

WHEREAS, paragraph 1 section 2 article XIV of the Philippine Constitution states that the state
shall establish, maintain and support a complete, adequate and integrated system of education
relevant to the needs of people and society;

WHEREAS, Department of Education Order Number 40 series of 2014 stipulated the

establishment of Integrated School to offer complete basic education;

WHEREAS, there is an increase of out of school youth each year in Sitio

CATIGOD,SAN PEDRO CARAGA because of far distant high school;

WHEREAS, that Potenciano A. Mabanding Elementary School is located 12 Kilometers away

from Caraga National High School and 8 Kilometers from Pantuyan National High School where
the nearest high school is situated;

WHEREAS, the people of Sitio Catigod particularly the parents are clamoring for the
establishment of high school so that they will be able to send their
children to secondary education;

WHEREAS, that the said Integrated School can reduce juvenile delinquency in our
community;

WHEREAS, there are two (2) sitios and one (1) barangay nearer to Sito Catigod such as sitio
Boa, sitio Pasok, and Barangay San Pedro benefits in the
establishment of an Integrated school;

WHEREAS, the number of elementary graduates of Potenciao A. Mabanding Elementary

School does not warrant the establishment of separate secondary school;

WHEREAS, that the implementation of conversion and expansion of Potenciano A.

Mabanding Elementary School into an integrated School will commence by the
incoming school year 2019-2020 offering of junior high school program
staring from grade 7 for the first year, grade 8 for the second year,
grade 9 for the third and grade 10 for the fourth year of operation;

WHEREAS, the PTA & SGC Officials Strongly support the expansion/conversion of the
Potenciano A. Mabanding Elementary School into an Integrated School by
extending technical and financial assistance for its operation and maintenance for
five years or until such time that the said Integrated School funds will
be incorporated into the national budget;

WHEREAS, that the proposed name of Integrated School is Potenciano A.Mabanding

Integrated School (PAMIS);

WHEREFORE, on motion of Edelberto M. Calig-onan duly seconded by Hon.Esmeraldo P.

Abogan, it was

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved in PTA & SGC meeting duly assembled to strongly
support the conversion and expansion of Potenciano A. Mabandig Elementary Schoo

located in Sitio, Catigod, Barangay San Pedro to an Integrated School

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution will be forwarded to the office of the
Punong Barangay of Barangay San Pedro, Sangguniang Bayan, Potenciano A. Mabanding
Elementary School, Office of the Public Schools District Suprvisor Caraga South District, Office
of the Schools Division Superintendent and other Offices concerned;
