Browse = Explore/Look Tree = Tree like Branch Structure Guide = System/Rule

So, BTG is Categories Tree in Amazon and how Amazon organize its products with respect to
Categories. It is similar to your Family Tree:

Here, as we human are good with names but the computer is good with numbers (that is why it
is called computer because it computes & we compute/calculate in numbers). So, that’s why,
for each ‘Node Name’ a ‘Node Id’ is given.
Nice buddy, now you understand Browse Tree Guide (BTG).
Hurray! So, now start our real Game after some setup!

BTG File Download

Go to the Following Link and here when you scroll under ‘Download Instruction’ heading, you
will find ‘Categories Table’ and against each category ‘Downloadable Document’ is provided, in
which BTG file of each category is provided.
Download your Desired category BTG file. First Go to the following Link:
https://sites.google.com/site/misladyself
Then scroll down till the ‘Download Instructions’ Heading. Below the heading you will find Table
of ‘Category Specific Template’.
In this Table the categories are mentioned and against each category the Downloadable
documents are provided. So, as you want to use the Browse Guide Tree (BTG) of a category,
download any BTG according to your category in which you want to work!

Note: Browse Tree Guide (BTG) is different for every marketplace and also Amazon update BTG
nodes, so it is best to download it from the Seller Central.

Now Explore and Use BTG File

So, you have downloaded any Browse Tree Guide (BTG) of the category in which you want to
work.
Here, for Example, we select ‘Baby’ Category and download the excel file. So, when we open it,
it will look like this:

So, there are three sheets and each means:

1. Instruction: How to use this BTG for Listing Optimization.
2. BABY PRODUCTS (7.2.2020): Second sheet for Categories & Sub-categories as Nodes ID
and their names.
3. Refinements: Third Sheet is the refinement of the Categories with-respect to attributes
and other fine details. Use this tab to optimize your listings.
Go to the second sheet here you will get categories Node IDs and Node Names (Categories
name)!

So, From Here Let’s Start the Game!

Go to the second sheet as here it is ‘BABY PRODUCTS (7.2.2020)’:

Now to enter into the Mall view, as defined in fb post, you want to explore with respect to
‘Shops of a Category’ or ‘Whole Category’!

Explore via ‘Shops View’:

Just go to the second Sheet and find which Category shop you want to explore. Select, that
category NODE ID and put this Node Id in the End of the Following URL:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/search/other?ie=UTF8&page=1&pickerToList=brandtextbin&rh=

So, for Example here you want to Explore ‘Baby Boys /Activity & Entertainment’ category shops
under Baby Products Parent Category, (You will find this at line #15 of second Sheet in Baby
Category BTG file). Therefore, the Node ID of Baby Products Category is ‘239225011’.

You just put it into the end of URL and hit Enter, as:

The Shops on that category will pop-up. Now, browse and explore your products of that specific
Category with respect to Shops as Top-Sellers, Numerically or Alphabetically.

Explore via ‘Categorical View’:

Oh, yeah. If you want to explore the Products with respect to the Category instead of Shops.
Use the following URL and put your category node ID in the end:
https://www.amazon.com/b?node=
So, for the Above Category, the URL will become:
https://www.amazon.com/b?node=239225011
Therefore, this is how you can make your View as per specific Category:

Here the products are shown with respect to the very specific category, in which you want to
explore your products. So, get your ideas or explore potential products via Product Hunting tool
