What is Expressionism,, where and when this movement

started?
The term Expressionism was originally borrowed from visual art and
literature. Artists created vivid pictures, distorting colours and
shapes to make unrealistic images that suggested strong emotions.

Identify leading proponents of this movement

The three central figures of musical expressionism are Arnold
Schoenberg (1874–1951) and his pupils, Anton Webern (1883–1945) and
Alban Berg (1885–1935), the so-called Second Viennese School.

scale played by a flute. A whole note scale sounds like a dreamy sound
effect that usually used in movies.

Ravel - Bolero
Ravel’s Bolero I can’t find any whole note with this piece. Though the
difference of this piece to Debussy’s prelude is this piece started
with drums which add flavor to the piece. Both of them as a calm and
peaceful vibe but Ravel’s Bolero us more colorful because of the
drums.
