1.0 Login to UniKL-IMS Student Portal.


To get started,

1.0.1 Go to IMS Student Portal URL : http://intra.unikl.edu.my


1.0.2 At first, click on Log In link.

1.0.3 Student need to register before able to use the Intra Management System (IMS
Student Portal). Click on Register link if NOT a register student.

1.0.4 Then, key-in username and password.

1.0.5 But, if the student have not Register for Intra as an academic subject, and try to login
between the intra Start Date and End Date, the student will have this message “You
have not registered for INTRA. Please contact InTra Unit”. The student need to go to
InTra Unit for clarifications.

2.0 Apply Internship Placement


To view company for internship:
2.0.1 Go to IMS Student Portal > Cover Page
2.0.2 Student can download Cover Letter and Intra Acceptance Form by click ‘here’ link at
the Cover Letter Page.

2.1 To Create/Apply Company


2.1.1 After clicking the link (Step 2), student can type a company name and
search for a company to apply.

Click on Search button

2.1.2 If the Company is not found in the list, student can add a new company by
clicking ‘here’ link to register new company.

2.1.3 Student need to fill-in the form with company details and a complete
address.
2.1.4 Once done completing the form, click on Submit button.

2.1.5 If the company already exists, student can do a selection by clicking on
‘Select’ button.
Search a Company Name and
Click on Select button

2.1.6 After clicking select, pop-up box will appear with message “Request
Successfully Registered. Please Navigate to Application History to
Access the letters”.
Note: Please allow the duration of 10 minutes for the system to generate the letters,
as it will not immediately generated.

3.0 View Intra Application.


To view Intra Application.
3.0.1 Go to IMS Student Portal > Application History.
3.0.2 Student are able to view Company List that he/she has applied.
3.0.3 Example: The student apply to TWO different company.

3.1 To Download Cover Letter and Acceptance Form


3.1.1 Then, student need to download, print and submit these three (3)
documents to the Company:
3.1.1.1 Cover Letter
3.1.1.2 Acceptance Form
3.1.1.3 Student’s Resume
3.1.2 Next, Company need to fill up Intra Acceptance Form.
3.1.3 The completed form will be forwarded by company to InTra Unit OR
Student.
3.1.3.1 If it is forwarded to InTra Unit, InTra Unit will notify the
student accordingly, to sign the Acceptance Form. Students
are encourage to view the Application History regularly to
check the Company Acceptance Status.
3.1.3.2 If it is forwarded to the student, the student is responsible to
submit this form to InTra Unit for them to update the
Company Acceptance Status in the system.

3.2 To View Company Acceptance Status
3.2.1 Student can view which companies have accepted the applications:
3.2.2 In Company Acceptance columns, status for which companies have
accepted, pending and rejected the applications will be displayed here.
3.2.2.1 Students then can decide to accept for InTra to which
company. Only one (1) company can be choosen.

3.3 To Update Student Acceptance Status


3.3.1 Student will have to come to InTra Unit and fill the Student Acceptance
Form. Refer to Figure 12, part to be filled by the student.
3.3.2 Students are encourage to prompt their acceptance to the respective
company by forwarding the InTra Acceptance Form that has been
acknowledged previously.
3.3.3 After that InTra Unit will then update the status of student’s acceptance.
3.3.4 Once updated by InTra Unit, students can view the Report Duty Form and
Confirmation Letter.

3.4 To Download Report Duty Form

3.4.1 Then, student able to download, print and submit these documents to the
Company on the first day of their internship:

3.5 To Download Confirmation Letter


3.5.1 Then, student need to download, print and submit these documents to the
Company on the first day of their internship:

Click on the Confirmation Letter link to download.

3.6 To Updates InTra


3.6.1 Once the students report duty at the respective company, they are
compulsory to do the following procedure:
3.6.1.1 INTRA Updates
Click on the INTRA Updates to submit filled Report Duty Form.

Site Address also must be updated as well.

3.6.1.3 Logbook
Logbook link will only enable after the students submit Report
Duty Form and updates the Site Address.
