1. Explain the definition of

a. homologous chromosome
 chromosome sets containing a maternal and a fatherly chromatid that are
comparative in length, quality position, and are joined at the centromere.
The position of the qualities on each homologous chromosome is the
same, in any case, they may contain diverse alleles of the qualities.
b. sister chromatid
 two indistinguishable duplicates of the same chromosome shaped by
DNA replication, connected to each other by a structure called the
centromere. Amid cell division, they are isolated from each other, and
each girl cell gets one duplicate of the chromosome.
c. telomere
 telomeres are the caps at the conclusion of each strand of DNA that
proctect our chromosomes, just like the plastic tips at the conclusion of
shoelaces.

2. What is the difference between stem cell and cancer cell? (minimum 2
differences)
a. the regulated growth and differentiation of normal stem cells while the cancer
cells have uninhibited growth, and this growth is not under regulatory
control.
b. stem cells can differentiate so that they can divide to produce cells that are
responsible for replacing certain dead cells, while cancer cells cannot.

3. Why does the cell need to undergo a checkpoint before continuing to

the next phase? (checkpoint from G1 to S, S to G2 and G2 to M)
to ensure that important processes, such as DNA replication, are complete and to
prevent the transmission of genetic errors to daughter cells.

4. What do you think about learning activity in biocamb class? Give me your
