01. Check the orientation and layout of drum
internals.
02. Check and match the mating flange details and
pipe routing of feed line, CBD line, dosing line,
steam sampling line and water sampling line with
drum drawings.
03. Ensure suitable supports are provided for
internal piping at regular intervals.
04. Ensure the piping and its supports does not fool
with internal baffles/ cyclone separators/tube
holes.
05. Ensure to provide feed line from both the end of
drum, if the drum length exceeds 5 m and use
two pieces of pipe with flanged ending.
06. Ensure feed line, CBD line are below low water
level.
07. Check enough no. of perforated holes of adequate
size is provided in all the pipeline along its
surface for uniform distribution / takeoff.
08 Ensure all the relevant design data, general notes
and erection notes are provided.
09. Ensure all the pipelines and their supports are
identified by mark nos. and their size, quantity,
material specification etc., are listed.
10. Ensure correct weld symbol / detail is used.
11. Check whether stainless steel material is
provided for steam sampling pipe & socket fitting.
12. Check whether any piping is fouling with man
hole door while opening it.
13. Check whether note has been given to make trial
assembly of all drum internals at shop itself
before despatch.
14. Ensure all the dimension are provided with
reference to any point.
15. Ensure all the support details are given.
16. Ensure that all the fastener requirements are
given.
17. Check whether the painting specification is given
as indicated below.
a. One boiler in Two coat of red oxide zinc
contract chromate primer.
