Aim:
To introduce students to the epithelial tissue as the first of the four basic
histological tissue.
Learning out comes:
At the end of this lecture, the students will be able to
 List general characteristics of epithelium
 Describe the structure of different types of epithelium
 State the functions and sites of each type
*All course materials are available on moodle.
Previous Knowledge Assumed:
1. Principles of cell biology.
Preparations:

The lecture will be held in well equipped class room contains comfortable
seats for the students, computer, data show and sound system.

2. Materials:
 Session plan.
 Power point presentation.

Teaching style:
1. Starting the session by describing its aim and learning outcomes to facilitate
the student engagement in the session.
2. Conducting an interactive session by posing question that requires
comprehension, application and analysis.
3. Using clear and simple PowerPoint presentation.
4. Using clear voice with stress points to attract the audients.
5. Appropriate body language.
6. Student treatment with fairness.
7. Meet the needs of all students.
