Dear Mr Genaro Perez.

This letter has two specific objectives, the first is to thank you for the great social influence that
you are directly exercising to the municipality of Funza with all its activities that are of vital
importance for our children and elderly. that very few Colombian companies have and the
importance of always looking after the well-being of our associates.
But on the other hand, I want to express the disagreement that I want to express to you through
this letter and it is in relation to not taking care of the use of material that is enemy of the
environment, such as the use of cardboard plastic in its products, because this material moves
indiscriminately throughout our country.
I highlight that the Coperativa Colanta is one of the few largest companies in Colombia, thus
becoming a representative Colombian icon and with great pride taking the brand to great powers
such as the United States, Germany, the European continent, Argentina, eastern countries
among others. meeting the challenges and regulations of each country. but with a great error and
the non-implementation of materials with a rapid degradation and little environmental impact.
During the last, the cooperative managed to consolidate 3.33 trillion cop. With ingredients such
as the strong expansion and price adjustment, they achieved that growth, which represents 19
percent compared to 2006, when they totaled 2.8 trillion cop.

After leaving its traditional captive market in Antioquia, Colanta entered Cundinamarca and
other departments and took the leadership of the dairy sector a few years ago.

The growth in sales of the companies included in this study had already passed in 2007 from 2.5
to 2.8 trillion cop, growing 10.3 percent compared to 2006. For the years 2018 and 1019 the
capital of The cooperative had a substantial growth which is being used to create more points of
sale and marketers that generate a cost of more than 12,000,000,000 million cop just in its
construction without generating the maintenance costs of the same, a large amount of money for
an investment that would generate great income for the industry, but very little effort for the
investment of new biodegradable technology for its products.
Dear gentlemen, the great objective of this letter is to make you as a company care much more
about preserving and maintaining the natural balance of our planet using multilayer and
monolayer material, as well as bags for the packaging of dairy products that at the end of your
Short useful life does not require the separation of the rest of organic waste. Generally, in our
country almost 261 k per year are generated per inhabitant.

For all of the above, today I want to make this special call, Mr. Genaro Perez and Messrs.
Colanta Cooperative, so that you can see and can reduce the impact of single-use packaging. In
my request I clarify new packaging technologies. biodegradable single-use or if appropriate
seek other mechanisms to replace and generate new systems, and invite him to promote
investments in reuse and alternative distribution systems.
