Type of Extinguisher:

A fire extinguisher is an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in
emergency situations. It is not intended for use on an out-of-control fire, such as one which has
reached the ceiling, endangers the user, or otherwise requires the expertise of a fire brigade.

There are 5 main fire extinguisher types – Water, Foam, Dry Powder, CO2 and Wet Chemical.

A dry powder fire extinguisher is a very common home extinguisher. Chemical items are placed
in fire extinguishers to rescue fires. Highlights: Founded In 2006, We Use Advanced Production
Equipment & Technology.
The CO2 extinguisher is effective in fighting flammable liquids and electric fires. Carbon dioxide
extinguisher works by suffocating the fire. Carbon dioxide displaces oxygen in the air.
Carbon dioxide extinguishes work by displacing oxygen, or taking away the oxygen element of
the fire triangle. ... CO2 may be ineffective at extinguishing Class A fires because they may not be
able to displace enough oxygen to successfully put the fire out. Class A materials may also smolder
and re-ignite.

Water Extinguisher:
Portable fire extinguishers. Introduction; Types of ... Water extinguishers are for Class A fires only -
they should not be used on Class B or C fires.
Dry Powder:
The dry chemical fire extinguishers are able to put out fires caused by oil, textiles, paper, liquid,
and electrical issues. This is the perfect fire extinguisher to have on hand to take care of a variety
of fires safely and efficiently.
Many fire extinguishers release a fine powder. The most common is the multipurpose dry
chemical type, which is used for Class A, B, and C fires. These contain mono-ammonium
phosphate, which comes out as a yellow powder. The yellow color helps to distinguish it from other
non-multipurpose extinguishers.
Foam Extinguisher
Foam fire extinguishers can be used on Class A and B fires. They are most suited
to extinguishing liquid fires such as petrol or diesel and are more versatile than water
jet extinguishers because they can also be used on solids such as wood and paper.
