Directions: Provide the steps being ask below. Write it on the space provided in a

Example: 1. Click Start.

2. Click My Computer.
3. Select the desired drive letter.

Peer to peer Network Client/Server Network

1. Click on Start, Right click Computer and
select Properties.
2. Select Change Settings and click on
Change
3. Type in the Computer Name and
Workgroup Name.
4. Click on Ok and select Yes to Restart.
5. Do the same process to the other
computers.
ADVANCE SHARING SETTINGS
1. Right click on the LAN/ Internet Icon and
select Open Network Setting
2. Select Advance Sharing Settings
3. Turn on all settings except for the
password protected sharing
4. Do the same for Home or Work
5. Click Save Changes
6. Do the same process to the next PC
1. Install Windows Server Standard on SERVER-PC
2. Install Windows 7 Ultimate on CLIENT-PC
3. Create Network Cables
4. Set-up Network
5. Install Network Drivers
6. Setup Computer Server
NETWORK CONFIGURATION
1. Click Start, Right click Computer and select
Properties.
2. Click on Change Settings then select Change
3. Type computer name and workgroup
4. Click Ok and restart computer
5. Do the same process for PC2-CLIENT
6. Do the same process for Laptop-CLIENT
SET IP ADDRESS
1. Right click on the LAN icon and click open
network and sharing center
2. Select Change Adapter Settings
3. Right click Local Area Connections and select
properties
4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click
properties
5. Select Use the following IP address and enter the
IP address
SETTING UP STATIC IP FOR SERVER

1. Right click on the LAN icon and click open

network and sharing center
2. Select Change Adapter Settings
3. Right click Local Area Connections and select
properties
4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click
properties
5. Select Use the following IP address and enter the
IP addresses

CHANGING PREFERRED DNS SERVER FOR

CLIENT AND LAPTOP PC

1. Right click on the LAN icon and click open

network and sharing center
2. Select Change Adapter Settings
3. Right click Local Area Connections and select
properties
4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click
properties
5. Select Obtain an IP Addressautomatically
6. Enter the IP address of the SERVER in the
PREFERRED DNS TAB.
7. Click Ok
