I. INTRODUCTION

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world (Nelson Mandela). Education helps to become good students,
parents, entrepreneurs, doctors, siblings and honest citizens. It empowers minds that
will be able to conceived good ideas and thoughts. It enables people to think critically
not only concealed in the four corners of the classroom but in every decision the
person has to make.

With the new curriculum being implemented fully (K to 12), teachers have
acquired various techniques aimed at meeting the diverse needs of students.
However the demands of acquiring knowledge has drastically change and becoming
more challenging since technology has boosted in the past decade.

In the world where everything needs to be documented, it its necessary for

educators to compile and come up with various strategies to be documented for it to
be used for future use and further studies. This accomplishment report will exhibit
various information that is needed by today’s educators in coping with teaching and
learning.

Accomplishment report show the reader what the person has accomplished
for a specific period. This not only shows the reader that you met your objectives but
it tells more of the value of the organization and the school you are bringing. It also
reveals the type of teacher you are to the reader. The data itself will tell whether you
have done your task satisfactorily and met your goals and objectives throughout the
year.

This accomplishment report provides an overview of what is achieved during

the SY 2019-2020, trainings and seminars conducted and participated, specific
information related to progress especially in MPS, CMSS and other reports. It also
contains innovations and projects conducted throughout the year. It also tackles on
issues and problems encountered which is subject for future improvement. This
accomplishment report will help teachers for future endeavors especially in the field
of Information and Communication Technology.

Technolympics 2019 Contest Classroom Based

Technolympics is one of the avenue that students can showcase their skills in
the specialization that they are taking. It is a competition of skills in different fields and
has been one of the main activities of TLE subjects all throughout the school year.

This school year, we were not able to conduct the Division wide contest in CSS
(Computer Systems Servicing) because of the changes in the contests to be conducted.
However, we were advice to conduct a classroom based Technolympics to somehow
ignite the interest of the students.

VI. INNOVATIONS IN ENHANCING
LEARNER’S ACHIEVEMENT
A. PROJECTS ANG PROGRAM

1. PROJECT VEEM (FOR GRADE 7 ONLY)

2. PROJECT KAIN

Valencia National High School is one of the many schools that experience
inappropriate solid waste management practices. Papers and plastics where the
most frequently generated waste. Common methods of solid waste management
disposal were use of dust bins for collections. Major problems perceived by current
refusal of disposal method by students were odors, pests infestation and spillages.
This scenario poses a community environmental health nuisance and compromise
school environmental quality.

Since the school has been relying on the goodwill of students and teachers to
protect the environment, waste management has been regarded as an important
component not only of the environmental concerns but also of the academic
performance of the students. In view of this, KAIN was drawn up which identified
specific actions to be carried out to protect the environment and better management
of waste disposal. The project specifically centers on the need for environmental
education activities for schools to help address these problems and propose an
environmental policy that will be run alongside the day to day activities of the school.
Its goal anchored on Solid Waste Management of Local Government Unit that
proposed the practice of waste management principles such as minimization,
segregation, reduction and recycling, in schools and in the community.

At present, the project was rolled out to the school before the school year end.
This was spearheaded by the principal Mr. Ramilito P. Paloma and the Department
head of TLE Maam Evangeline N. Cadenas.
The photos above shows the teacher’s participation in project KAIN by the
school. It was implemented this school year to promote proper waste disposal which
is one main problem among the school in the division.

As a result there were more Clean Up drives conducted by the teacher and
this resulted to more cleanliness within the school premises. The students were also
able to practice proper garbage disposal and segregation. This was the first year it
was implemented and thus, it requires further studies and practice so that the project
will be properly documented and supported by data.

2. PROJECT HEAL

Reduce Students Tardiness (REST)

(Anchored on Project HEAL)

Punctuality is one of the virtues that a person must acquire. There are lots of
time to be productive if we follow it the proper way. Punctuality will include all of the
positive action in all aspects. Though it was not emphasized in the present education
curriculum, it is still very important when situations arises.

This project will determine the factors affecting students in their daily routine
during school days. Always and often times being tardy in in coming to school,
attending flag ceremony, in attending classes after recess time in the morning and
afternoon sessions and during the first period in the afternoon shift. There are
observed instances that after the changes of shifting classes, in their specialization
subjects and other activities that needs outdoor activities, they are behind schedule
in attending it.

There was a notion that the students has significantly disliked the subjects of
Science, Mathematics, and TLE might be the reason for leniency of their study. The
dislike towards the matter is merely on the subject and has nothing to do with the
Subject teacher. Furthermore, there are students who blamed their teaches in why
they have this tardiness attitude in them.

The table below shows the work plan of project REST.

RESULTS:
There were some significant changes among students towards tardiness and coming
to the classroom late. However, this needs more implementation and further studies.
3. PROJECT OASIS

PARENT ENGAGEMENT AND REINFORECEMENT FOR OUTSTANDING

AND REMARKABLE MENTORING (PERFORM)
(Anchored on Project OASIS)

Parents place a vital role in their children’s success, even go an extra mile to
ensure their positive growth. Parents expect obedience from their children, yet also
provide them with tremendous affection, care, and support. Parent-child relationships
are often influenced by the community, which refers to the sense of shared identity
Filipino family members, but particularly parents and children share with one
another. Parents have a strong sense of investment in their children, and actively try
to improve them however possible.

Parents also have to deal with the different dilemmas like economic, social,
and political issues of the country. Accordingly, there were 25% of Filipinos who live
under poverty line. Jobs are difficult to obtain, and the prospects for children’s
futures are often depressing. This is especially the case in Mindanao. It is within this
context that children attempt to achieve success in school, and parents try their very
best to assist them in those pursuits.

This project examines the nature of parental involvement, and how it affects
the educational performance of children. With series of activities that involves their
parents, this will help us understand the importance of their involvement in mentoring
their children at homes.

RESULTS:

The project was partially implemented because of time constraints. There

were less intervention that would engage student-parent participation. However, the
students were able to grasp the idea because it was explained to them clearly. It
would be better if this project will be continue next school year. It will be very
promising to see the parents’ role in the academic performance of their children.
This project also needs more documentation for it to flourish and will be subject for
further research in the future.

VII. UTILIZATION OF IMPROVISED HOLDING

POWER TOOLS
Holding Power and Monitoring Tool
Holding Power and Monitoring Tool

By managing well a classroom of 40-50 students, you can increase student

success and create a productive and cooperative learning environment even in large
number of students in the classroom. Effective management plans allow students to
get the most out of their time spent in school and ensure that they have learned well.
While many fail to recognize it, learning to behave can be just as important as
learning the academic lessons taught in school.

Holding power and monitoring allows teachers to check on student’s individual

performance and monitor their attendance accurately. This will also undermine
learners at risk of dropping out (LARDO) and closely monitor their performance. This
will help the Division of Valencia City whose mantra “No Valenciano is left behind”
advocate their mission and vision.

RESULTS:

There were significant improvement in student’s attendance when

implementing the holding power and monitoring. The teacher observed that giving
teachers the ability to easily track attendance helps to keep students engaged,
minimize drop out and increase student success. Thus implementing it for the next
school year is a must.

IX. APPENDIX

A. Project Proposals for next school year (SY 2020-2021)

Tips on How to Reduce Reuse Recycle On Waste

With Project KAIN currently implemented, one of the major concern in

adapting it is the student’s participation in the project. One way to ensure the
involvement is by implementing the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle). By the use of
project THR3OW, it will push the students to practice 3Rs. This project is very helpful
to cut down the amount of waste being thrown in the bins. It will also give the
students the sense of responsibility, tips and awareness on how important waste can
still be used.
VISual Representation of Achievements

Visual representation ignite students in achieving more than what is expected

of them. All we need to do is to include digital badges in education to motivate
students by making each badge worth a few points that students can earn and
collect. Such a reward system not only motivates them but it makes learning more
fun and enjoyable. This will be the target project for the next school year anchored
on project OASIS which will help the students improve their academic performance.
