BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

` The institution of the school is in charge of developing students into responsible members of
society. The multifaceted focus of school necessitates cooperating with others to complete certain tasks
and objectives. This is where one gets fashioned into a better person who will be an emblem of the type of
learning center where he was raised. These would require committed teachers, cooperative parents,
an accountable community, and creative students. According to educators, the environment has a
significant impact on kids' learning.

The Brigada Eskwela is an annual program of Department of Education (DepEd Order 24., s.
2008, Appendix A). It is a nationwide voluntary effort which aims to address resource gaps faced by the
Department through strengthening partnerships with the local communities. The program mobilizes and
brings together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort, and resources to
prepare public school facilities for the opening of the school year.
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 34, s. of 2022 titled School Calendar and Activities for the School
Year 2022-2023 which states that: Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela with the slogan slogan
“Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”. The shall be adopted as the theme for
this year to emphasize the country’s collective efforts in promoting collaboration for safe living and
addressing social issues and concerns in school, at homes, and in the community.
DepEd Memorandum No. 062, s. 2022 titled 2022 Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines
which shall implement the Brigada Eskwela (BE) Program in the time for the preparation for opening of
classes for School Year 2022-2023 on August 22, 2023. The different components of Brigada Eskwela
Program shall be implemented starting August 1 to 26, 2022 for its Brigada Eskwela sa Pa ghahanda and
shall continue with the year-round implementation of Brigada Eskwela Plus and Brigada Pagbasa.
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, this year’s Brigada Eskwela shall ensure support for
the provision of learning opportunities while ensuring health, safety, and protection of the well-being of
learners, teachers and personnel. Brigada Eskwela shall play an important mechanism to enable schools to
catch up with the expectations for multiple learning delivery modalities.
The implementation of Brigada Eskwela shall comply with the required health standards, which
include following social distancing and practicing proper hygiene consistent with the Inter-Agency Task
Force on emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) health protocols.

As early as July, the teachers of Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School recruited
volunteers who would participate in the brigade. Distribution of invitation letters to potential
stakeholders. Parents, school alumni and other people from the community were encouraged to join the
month - long annual program. Since Brigada Eskwela received no funding from the federal government,
private companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private citizens, and local governments
were enlisted to raise money for the school's upkeep and repairs. The school's physical facilities
coordinator and a few PTA members conducted a school inspection in July to determine which school
buildings needed upkeep and repair. Following this, the steering committee organized other Brigada
Eskwela school activities.

On August 1, all teachers of Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School attended the
National Kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela 2022. August 04, 2022, Participation in the Regional Kick-off
of the Brigada Eskwela 2022. August 08, 2022, Participation in Division Kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela
2022 and the same day as the Short Opening Program for School -based Kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela
2022.
The school was able to achieved the matrix plan last August 1-26, 2022. The goals for Brigada
Eskwela were able to perform such as: Preparation of Safety and preparedness of school ground,
Preparation, improvement and beautification of school facilities, signage and school ground, Promotion
and implementation of the Brigada Pagbasa Program, Preparation of Gulayan sa Paaralan Area, and
Disinfection of school buildings, classrooms and other school facilities.

August 26, 2022 was Closing program for recognition to partners/donors, stakeholders and
volunteers. The School Head, teachers, parents, community partners and stakeholders successfully
conducted and participated the Brigada Eskwela 2022 at Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School.
The school facilities are improved, safe and ready for the opening of the school year 2022-2023. The
conduct of evaluation and monitoring determine whether the objectives of the activity are achieved.
At the end of the Brigada Eskwela 2022, physical facility improvement and beautification will
have been manifested. There will be an increase number of volunteers who have been participated in
Brigada Eskwela. 80% of the invited stakeholders have involved in the activities and have donated in kind
for the improvement and beautification of the school. The completion of school facilities to enhance the
learning environment and physical growth close to the campus coincides with the school's expanding
student body. Meeting the requirements of the students is a key requirement for achieving the
objective of quality education. However, it is a fact that we must assume responsibility by
transforming the institution into a desirable place to attend in preparation for upcoming the opening of
classes. All school facilities are now in good condition. The school surrounding is now free from tall
grasses. Generally, the school is now ready for the school opening.
