On October 2 and October 14 administration held faculty meetings. Covid-19 has taken a
huge toll on the staff. Teachers and service personnel are being asked to do more than ever
before and administration can tell that it is starting to wear on them. These meetings are
informational, but also chances for concerns to be voiced. It is a time for everyone to get together
On both of these days, we went over virtual school and the new updates relating to virtual
school. Covid-19 has thrown teachers into in person teaching as well as virtual. Our virtual
program has created many issues and it is a huge stressor for our teachers. Administration
constantly reminds us what is expected of us with virtual and important updates and reminders.
We have a lot of kids coming back from virtual to in person and that also was discussed today. It
is guaranteed to throw off our class sizes and administration wanted to prepare us for that.
These meetings are a focus for staff, but it is important to highlight that administrators are
feeling the strain. It is easy to see that during these meetings; our administrators do not have all
the answers. As a leader, I think it is okay to say that you do not know, but will find out. We
need to humanize administrators and realize that they are struggling just as we are. These
meetings can be just as beneficial for them as it is us. They can hear questions and concerns and
