Content Teams Meeting

Content team meetings are where each content comes together to work on planning,

standards, and any other business that needs completed. These meetings are important for

teachers to come together and discuss students and their needs. We also discuss lesson planning

and content standards. The meetings typically last around two hours.

On this day, for English content, we discussed balancing the days that the students are off

with the days that they are learning in person. Our students attend two days in person and have

three off. They also alternate last names at the beginning of the week and end. During the

meeting, we also went over choice reading projects and discussed the 90-minute block schedule.

Towards the end of the meeting, our principal came in to go over lunch duties, protocols, and

lesson plans.

This time for content teachers is important to provide as an administrator. This is time for

teachers to collectively plan together and problem solve students and lessons. You would want

your staff to have that strong relationship with each other and be able to collectively work

together as coworkers. It is also a time for administrator to come speak to teachers in small

groups. You can go over lesson plans with them and ensure that they understand what is required

for them to list. There have also been quick changes in the school year with schedules and new

programs. This would be a time that administrators could inform groups at a time.
