13.

2 Method Statements Contents:


A. The quality control engineer will prepare the Method Statement required for the project to ensure that
the construction control is safely and effectively carried out.
B. The Method statement shall address the following:
a. Introduction and scope
b. Location and identification of the work covered by the method statement
c. Permits and licenses (if required)
d. Specific risk assessment and job hazard analysis
e. All specific quality requirements stated in the technical specifications.
f. Approved materials (submittal No. or data sheet) proposed to be used in this method statement.
g. Approved shop drawings (submittal No. or sketches) proposed to be used in this method
statement.
h. BTCC Staff/ Team planned to do the job, their roles and responsibilities.

i. Plant or Equipment needed for this job


j. Sequence of the job execution
k. Reference documentations.

Inspection and test plans shall contain the following:


• Reference documents applicable to the Inspection / test procedure (Contract specification, BS,
ASTM, AASHTO,…).
• Work activities. Identification of activities to be inspected/ tested.
• prerequisites for the given inspection/test
• required tools, equipment
• Inspection and test details such as person in charge, test frequency and acceptance/rejection
criteria.
• Check points such as Hold (H), Witness (W), Surveillance (S) and Record Review (R).
• Verification / quality record needed for inspection.

Stock Control for Material


The stock record card shall be used for all material movement. The SRC shall indicate the
following information.
• Tag Number of Item Code
• Product Description
• Storage Location
• Unit of Issue
• Date of Receipt
• Quantity Received
• Date of Issue
• Document Number Authorizing the Issue
• Quantity Issued
• Balance Quantity in Stock
• On periodic basis material recognition reports for each item shall be prepared and submitted
