Review documents of Material Receiving for the Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials. Identification procedure reviewed and implemented for the Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials. Material identification shall be implemented for all materials, parts and components, including partially fabricated assemblies. Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall be identified by using tags, stamps, color coding, stencils or labels. The location and method of identification shall not affect the function or quality of the material. The Supervisor of CSD/ME&CCD/Cathodic Protection and Coatings Unit and the Supervisor of the proponent cathodic protection organization shall indicate their review and approval of each Cathodic Protection drawing by signature. The signatures shall be placed in the "Review of Key Drawings" block of each Index X Drawing. General Requirements Documentation for traceability reviewed and implemented. Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall be traceable from the manufacturer and supplier through delivery, storage, fabrication, erection, installation, repair, modification and use. Documented Control System shall be implemented for all Saudi Aramco supplied material and equipment. Material Inspection QC Before Installation - Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall conform to all applicable requirements, standards, and specifications prior to release to be used as part of work. Incoming Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall be visually inspected for damage / defects occurred during transportation.

Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall be new and unused. Exothermic Welding Tools & Materials shall be in accordance with the Saudi Aramco-approved project-specific design drawings, diagrams, schedules, lists, databases, and associated design documents. Check that the Contractor or it's Saudi Aramco approved third party inspector performed the quality activities at the supplier and sub-supplier locations as required by the inspection level assigned for the materials and equipment identified in SAER-1972 Inspection Requirements. Document must be submitted showing that the material complies with the UL-467 Requirement. (UL 467 APPENDIX A)

The container/packaging box containing the Exothermic Materials, Molds & Tools shall be Marked with the following: 1. Manufacturer's name, trade name, or other acceptable marking whereby SAES-P-111 Sec. 4.1 the organization responsible for the product can be readily identified. 2. A distinctive catalog number or equivalent identification. (UL 467 APPENDIX A) Installation instructions shall be provided to field processes and include the following (or equivalent): 1. Identification of all materials involved in the process. 2. The recommended weight of mixture for the wire size and type of rod. 3. Installer's and inspector's guide for electrical connections. SAES-P-111 4. Recommended number of connections for each mold. Sec. 4.1 5. Solid stranded copper wire conductors and wire size for each "connection " process. 6. Type of grounding rod electrode which can be connected to the wire conductor. UL 467 APPENDIX A) Detail of Special Handling or Storage Requirement / shelf life expiry date shall be provided.
