ABSTRACT
The practical training session is the session in which students gets to share what they have
studied in Universities and whatever they know about the organization that has accepted them
to conduct their practical training, practically. So practical training helps students conduct
their studies practically and make them understand things that they either once studied in a
theoretical manner, easily in a practical manner as they get to do them in a routine and be part
of it, students increase their knowledge by learning from the experienced staffs and experts.

This report covers the field practical training that is held from 16 July 2018 until 7 September
2018 at ILALA MUNICIPAL CITY COUNCIL specifically at Accounts department in
ILALA where it includes skills acquired and enhanced, task performed during practical
training and lesson learnt. And this field report covers four chapter.

The first chapter covers the introduction which involves overview of field work placement,
discussion of primary functions, organization structure, the main objective of field placement,
product and service offered, main activity, and nature of the organization and review of the
industry the company works within.

The second chapter covers the activities or task performed during field training, lesson
learned from each task performed during field training and challenges encountered during
field practical training.

Chapter three deals with analysisincluding description of experience skills learned and
enhanced during field practical training at Ilala municipal council, review of how the
experience has affected career plans and ambitions and what skills that am lacking.

Chapter four covers the conclusion of field report and recommendations to both The College
of Finance Management and recommendations to the organization I have attended my field
training that’s Ilala municipal council.

CHAPTER ONE

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF ILALA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL

Ilala District is a district in north west of Dar es Salaam's central business district, Tanzania,
others being 

Temeke (to the far Southeast) and Ilala (downtown Dar es Salaam). To the east is the Indian
Ocean, to the north and west the Pwani Region of Tanzania. The area of Ilala is
531 km2 (205 sq mi).

The 2002 Tanzanian National Census showed that the population of Ilala was 1,083,913.

 The census of 2012 showed that the population of Ilala was 1,775,049: 914,247 female and
860,802 male. There are 446,504 households in Ilala with an average of 4 people per
household.[2]

The original inhabitants of Ilala were the Zaramo and Ndengereko, but due to urbanization


the district has become multi-ethnic

Municipal Vision, Mission and Objectives

1.1.1. VISION

A Community with better standard of living by the year 2025

1.1.2. MISSION

To use the available resources in a sustainable manner in order to provide efficient basic
Services to its Community.

1.1.3. MAIN OBJECTIVE

The main objective for the preparation of this socio-economic profile is to attract investors in
various sectors. The main purpose of ilala Municipal Council is to deliver development and
socio-economic services that will raise income per capita and empowerment of the Ilala
population through use of locally available resources

The functions of the Council are based on the objectives identified by the Council for to
facilitate the achievement of the Vision. The objectives are:

 Service improved and HIV/AIDS infection reduced

 Access and quality social services improved

 Quantity and quality of economic services and infrastructure improved

 Good governance and administrative service enhanced

 Social welfare, gender and community empowerment improved

 Emergence, preparedness and disaster management improved

ilala Municipality bears the status of an Administrative district lies between longitude 39 o and
40o east and between latitude 60 and 70 south of the Equator. It has an area of 210 km2.

The Municipality is bordered by the Indian Ocean on its Eastern part with distance of about
10 kilometers. On the southern part it is bordered by ilala Municipality, whereas on its
Western part it is bordered by kinondoni District and on its Northern is bordered by temeke
Municipality.

Its altitude that ranges between 0 and 900 meters above sea level influences the ecological
characteristics of the Municipality. Thus the Municipality consists of a larger lowland area
and a small part forming the upland zone.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

The Municipality is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the North East, Ilala District to the
South, Ubungo District to the North. The Municipality is well linked by roads and other
communication networks to the rest of the city and other parts of the country. Major road
links are: - Morogoro Road, Bagamoyo Road, Kawawa Road, Ally Hassan Mwinyi and
MwaiKibaki road.

CLIMATIC CONDITION

Ilala Municipality experiences a modified type of equatorial climate. It is generally hot and
humid throughout the year with an average temperature of 290C. The hottest season is from
October to March while it is relatively cool between May and August with temperature
around 250C. There are two rain seasons: - short rain from October to December and long
rain season between March and May. The average annual rainfall is 1300mm. Humidity is
around 96% in the mornings and 67% in the afternoons. The climate is also influenced by the
Southwest monsoon winds from April to October and Northeast monsoon winds between
November and March.

LAND FORMS

Land units characterize Ilala Municipal, each with homogeneous characteristics potential for
the future municipal development. (i) The shorelines immediately abutting the sea comprise
sand dunes and tidal swamps. (ii) Hills are characterized by weathered slopes and well
drained with unconsolidated clay bond sands. An occasional outcrop of raised coral limestone
also occurs especially around the Wazo-Kunduchi area. (iii) A limestone coastal plain at
Kawe rises in the North before falling to eight kilometres at Mpiji River. Lakes and Ponds are
scattered throughout this landform with clay soils and Zero gradient impede natural drainage.
(iv) River Valleys is another land Unit dissect the coastal plain in the series of the steep sided
U- Shaped Valley culminating in cracks and Mangrove swamps before entering Indian
Ocean. Valley soils are generally poorly drained silt clay soils enriched with clay matters. (v)
The forests are natural and man-made. The natural forests are merely the natural vegetation’s
of low land forest with scattered dominant trees bushes; tall grasses and mangrove forests
especially along the coast and river estuaries while the man –made forests are trees planted
by the forest Department and managed by village governments. Pande forest, which was
declared a forest reserve in 1960s having about 3,030 Acres of land, located about 15km off
Bagamoyo road, was then declared Pande Game reserve in 1990s accommodating various
species of Wild animals like monkeys and birds.

POPULATION:

The 2002 Municipal Council population for Ilala as 634,924. The area is 273 km 2. (Refer
Appendix 1)

1.0.5. Ethnic composition

The main native’ ethnic groups in Ilala Municipality are Wazaramo and Wandengereko but
due to urbanization many people of different ethnicity have immigrated in making
heterogonous tribal composition where by no single ethnic group accounts for more than 25%
of the total population. Ilala is the most affected area in the City due to its status of being hub
for social-economic activities and other interactions.  The rapid economic growth of the city
also attracts influx of people from different corners of the country and outside the country.

 1.0.6. Rural/Urban migration

Not only immigrants is the problematic factor of Ilala operational as explained earlier, but
also Ilala is facing a problem of shifting population where by majority of Dar es Salaam
citizens spend their day time at Ilala Municipal and sleep at other Municipals. Ilala
Municipality always seem to have small population compared to other councils, in most cases
is much influenced by census method where by people are requested to stay at their usual
places of residence. In reality Ilala is serving large part of Dar es Salaam citizens during the
day time it is estimated that the Dar es Salaam population is 5million during the day as a
result always Ilala faces the problem of inadequacy of social facilities like Water and
infrastructures and suffering from environmental pollutions, due to the fact that the increase
of population does not go together with the expansion of social services.

1.0.7. Administration

In this context, Ilala Municipal Council has three constituencies named as Ilala, Kawe and
ilala.

The Councilors:-

The Council is led by 36 councilors His Worship Mayor is the Chairman of the Council
assisted by Deputy Mayor.  Amongst the 36 councilors, nine (9) are women who constitute
27% of all the councilors. Members of Parliament are also regarded as Councilors.

Duties and functions performed within the Council are based on the decisions made by
the four (4) standing committees:-

 Standing committee for Finance and Administration.

 Standing Committee for Urban Planning and Natural Resources.

 Standing committee for Economic and Social services.

 Standing Committee for Works

1.0.8. The Executive Side

The Executive side of the Council is headed by the Executive Director who supervises the
daily operations of the Council being; executes deliberations and resolutions passed in
Council meetings.  Hence, the Municipal Director is the Chief Executive of the Authority and
is assisted by thirteen (13) heads of Departments and Six (6) Units.

1.0.9. Economic Infrastructure and Services:

Ilala Municipality enjoys good services of all important infrastructures. It can be easily
accessed from all parts of the country by a well maintained tarmac road, Railway line, Air or
by Sea. It is the largest port giving a gateway to Zanzibar, neighboring country, Kenya and
Abroad. Telecommunication is well covered with TTCL. There are cellular phones operators
namely Airtel, Tigo, Zantel, Vodacom and the new one in business being introduced by
TTCL -Sasatel. A number of internet services providers are also available. There are so many
commercial banks to mention a few, there are namely NBC Limited, National Microfinance
Bank (NMB), CRDB Bank, Barclays, Baroda, BOA  and Exim Bank,  which offer financial
services such as Current and Savings accounts, Foreign Exchanges, as well as offering a
variety of loans. There is also some bureau de change which deals with foreign exchange.

 The Municipality has several economic activities that include:-

 Office work

 Fishing

 Tourism

 Hotels

 Livestock keeping especially chicken and dam cattle

 Import and export businesses

 Transportation

 Banking

Main economic activities taking place in Ilala Municipal Council are retailing businesses
including small and medium shops, Hotels, bars and restaurants, Transportation services,
clearing and forwarding, Agro businesses, Medical businesses, Handcraft Businesses,
Banking businesses, Construction Business.

1.1.0. REVENUE

The Municipal revenue depends on collections levied on several economic activities taking
place in its area (those which are not under VAT category). Tax payers under VAT category
always pay their taxes to TRA-Tanzania revenue Authority.

These economic activities include Industrial and Agricultural production activities,


Commercial activities of selling goods and fishing. The main sources of revenue for the
Municipality are:

 Bill Boards

 Property Tax

 City Service Levy

 Trade Licenses

1.1.2. MARKETS.

Ilala Municipality has 18 markets.  Amongst the13 functioning markets, Six (6) are big and
Seven (7) are small markets while the remaining 5 markets are not yet in function.  The
Thirteen (13) markets which are functioning have 13,264 businessmen.  Most of the markets
have been located at the city center according to the field survey carried in 2009 by the Trade
and License Department; the municipalities still have 21,500 who are not accommodated in
any market.  This has let them to operate business in an unauthorized area.

The Municipality intends to construct high rise building at posta, Ilala and kariakoo markets
so as to create space for businessmen who currently operates in areas not designated for.

The Municipality has also designed a big and modern market at kariakoo and buguruni of
which shall substitute the Ilala market for wholesale and retail businesses. The existence of
these to markets will also reduce concentration and congestions of business at the existing
city markets. The two planned markets intend to create 29,000 operators in unauthorized
areas.  This will also enable the municipality to collect total sum of Tshs. 5,220,000,000.00
per year of rent of which currently is not collected.  It also intends to improve the existing
markets hence create space for business operators and on the hand improve revenue
collections as indicated in the table. (Refer appendix 2)

Problems facing the Market Sector

 There is high demand for commercial space in the city. This is reflected by the fact
that for every building in the area that is constructed to provide these spaces face
oversubscription

 Similarly, demand for spaces for small trade activities is also high. The numbers of
small traders is increasing in the city especially ilala area daily. This is because
traders prefer business prime areas that attract large number of customers.

 The Mama / Baba Lishe businesses nourish well in areas that have large interaction of
people especially of medium and lower class levels of income.

 The available markets are suffering from shortage of market facilities. Poor
infrastructures like toilets, water.

 There is no an organized garbage disposal.

 Not secured from theft due to high congestion.

1.2. ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE FOR ILALA MUNICIPAL MUNICIPAL

The Organization structure of the Ilala municipal Municipal is very well organized and
structured to facilitate the efficiency in the tasks execution. The organization structure is

currently three stage system with the information following from the Municipal Director to
the branches through middle level and divisional managers.

Municipal Director who is the top in hierarchy of leadership in Ilala municipal Municipal
Council with their board of directors as assistance board which make the Ilala municipal
Municipal council to be clear,

2.0 ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN AT ILALA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL AND LESSON
LEARNT

2.1Revenue collection

The District revenue depends on collections levied on several economic activities taking
place in its area (those which are not under VAT category). Tax payers under VAT category
always pay their taxes to TRA. These economic activities include Industrial and Agriculture
ural production activities, Commercial activities of selling goods and fishing activities. These
activities play a significant role to the District economy in terms of revenue and in provision
of job opportunities. The main sources of revenue for the District are:

 District Service Levy


 Trade Licenses
 Bills
 Cattle Auction Fees
 Slaughtering Fees
 Guest (Hotel)houses levy
 Fish auction fee
 Intoxication of liquors licenses.

Revenue collection strategies: Various strategies needed to collect revenue. Such measures
include: -

 Reviewing the tax rates. Some of the tax rates need to be reviewed to reflect real
situation whether to increase or lower the rate
 Reviewing by laws.
 Reviewing the whole process of tax collection.

After revenue collection then the revenue collector are supposed to provide the receipts to the
person who contributing that revenue.

Lesson learnt

I learned that in any of my business that a person has to start he/she have to pay tax so as to
get license which give him/her an authority to conduct the business. Also the business which
have license give person the confidence to conduct it.

Also I have learned the strategies that can be employed in order to increase tax whereby the
strategies will be reviewed as to increase or decrease the rate to which a certain economic
activity will contribute in the economy example to increase the tax rate to be paid by seller of
fish.

2.2Preparation of payment voucher (PV)

Payment vouchers these are form documents by all institutions in connection with payments
out of public fund for execution of various activities. PV must be containing the following
things pv number, payee name, amount in number and words, date of payments, details of
payments, signatories/originate by head of department (HOD) and approval of DED.
Generally, payments can be from different accounts depending on the nature of those
payments.

Lesson learnt

I learned that in preparation of payment voucher should be kept well so as to avoid


misunderstanding when it comes to auditor and also every transaction done must be recorded
so as to avoid the mistake in balancing the account.

I have also learned that the payment voucher should be prepared to effect payment to
different government institutions like voucher prepared for paying services aimed to a certain
village like payments of salaries to workers.

2.3Preparation of Budget

These budgets is prepared as an annual budget of different department, also known as other
charges of budget (OC), for instance estimated budget of procurement and suppliers,
Monitoring Evaluation Operation and the Audit internal. These budget show the list of targets
and its activities as well as amount estimated to be used such items are Extra Duty, Food and
Refreshments, Per Diem Domestic, Diesel, House allowance and electricity charges spent

10,000,000/=pre annual. The objectives of this budget helps the departments to performed
their duties like planning office can use this money in monitoring and Evaluating different
projects that are conducted in the town council like visiting the construction of
slaughterhouse and Dispensaries. Source of funds to these budget Own Source (OS).

Lesson learnt

I have learned that in preparation of budget employees and suppliers are paid depending on
which department is from since the budget is set for specific department and each payment
made must be correctly posted to avoid remaining of the hanging groups that holds money
which affect the budget.

I also have learned that each department offices expenses depend on the annual budget
prepared and each department working tools will be prepared after the budget has been
formed annually and department is not supposed to spend more than its annual budget.

2.4Preparation of cheque in Epicor system

Cheque this is written order from bank current account holder, address to his /her bank to pay
a stated sum of money or to the order of the person named on the order or to its bearer. And
also cheque is used to authorized a payment of a specific department in a given institution. In
account department cheque are prepared for the purpose of requiring the bank to pay a certain
sum of money to the organization like TANESCO for the payment of electricity services, to
government workers like teachers then a cheque is drawn to a specific bank requiring that
bank to pay salaries to those workers.

Lesson learnt

In Next in preparation of cheque I learned how to prepare deposit slip local cheques
practically and also I have learned that the government do not pay cash to the public workers
and various organization but it preparescheque to effect the payment system and the
government do have bank account to respective bank where customer will be paid when the
cheque is written.

2.5Payments

All payments made by the council follow a pattern that ensures internal control is observed.
All payments must be made out of budget approved by the parliament of United Republic of
Tanzania. The head of department originates payments by writing a request for
paymentsminutes (dokezo) to the DED who approval the request before sent to the
accounting department (DT). The department accountant prepare PV which returned for
signature (HOD, Treasurer and finally to DED). After PV is signed by signatories sent for
examination section (Pre audit) where it is examined for errors completeness of documents
etc. before a cheque is written. Previous cheques were written by the Cashier but currently
cheque is prepared and printed through epicor system.

Lesson learnt

I learned that each employee or supplier is paid according to arts reason. For example one
paid extra duty is different from the one paid for per domestic.

2.6Preparation of Cash book

Cash book is a book of accounting which is used to records receipts and payment. Each
month the cash book balance is established and closed and posted to the ledger. I learnt to
prepare cash book in two ways the first one is in old system in which all transaction are
recorded in systems of book and the second is in epicor system which is an accounting
package.

Lesson learnt

I learned that the transaction of cash book a book of accounting which is used to records
receipts and payment has to be related with the cash payment

I expanded my theoretical knowledge to practical experience, many of the matter that I was
covered at the College of Finance Management were correlated with the practical works
participated during the field works process.

2.3 challenges
2.3.1 challenges encountered at Ilala municipal Council

Being in the organization for eight weeks my Field Training Practical has faced the following
challenges which are:

 Electricity instability
 Being new to the environment of work can make a person not performed his/her
duties accordingly
 Network instability especially in Epicor system; sometimes Epicor system operating
in low networking and to fail to perform activities in that system.
 Lack of cooperation. Sometimes there is a person who does not gives cooperation in
the working area.

2.3.2 challenges facing Ilala municipal Council.

Shortage of enough funds

All projects of Ilala municipal Council (IMC) are faced by inadequate fund due to fact that
the source of revenues collection is a few. So the budget allocate to those projects can’t be
enough to implement their projects. These are common problem that leads the departments
not to achieve their objectives and goals. For instance the estimated budget of first quarterly
of Medium Term Frame (MTEF) in 30 June – 30 sept it’s too danger to projects
development, because it is too much inadequate to each sector compared to previous budget.
Head of department are till condemned to new Town council to approval budget that is
provide nothing the economic development of projects ,such as budget approval in Road fund
and dispensaries can’t be able even to build routine maintenance and construction of health
center.

Lack of enough facilities

Lack of offices and furniture especially at ward, street or Village levels Most of WEO’s,
MEO’s and VEO’s have no offices. In our department there shortage of facilities like car,
computers, chairs, printer and photocopy machine. For instance car can be used to visit
different projects that conducted by the Town council for the purpose of monitoring and

evaluation operations, to know the projects is implanted or not yet implemented and ensuring
there is no misuse of funds. This is due to fact that there are some project that are
implemented due misuse of funds, the Ward Executive Officer (WEO) and Village Executive
officer (VEO) put their money on pockets while that are supposed to be allocate in project
development as well as there is problem of shortage of computer like Laptop, printer and
photocopy machine that’s leads different activities to not completed at timely due inefficient
in working.

Electricity problems

In reality the problem of electricity in our country is familiar to everyone and not is a new
thing to hear that now there is no electricity current or there is shock of electricity. The
problem of electricity leads different things to deteriorate and not be implemented on time
due to fact when electricity shock occurs some documents lost and also nothing is being
proceed because all activities stopped, for instance printer, photocopy machine and
Computers because depends on a presence of electricity current. This leads some document to
be reach by too late to a targeted area by coming late, and if people will fail to get
information at timely means will attend to a certain event or meeting, also this is serious
problem that cause inefficient of different departments to Town Council.

Communication breakdown

There are big serious problem that face this town council, this is due to fact there is no good
communication process from departments to departments up to top position of Director of
Town Council. You may see information from the region will coming early to the Town
Council but to department concerned that information doesn’t reach at propriety time that
leads department to reply information by too late.

Member staffs are not working as teamwork

The member staff of our office are unorganized this is proved when a member have a task
and other are free at that time they not have tendency to help their fellow but they still
roaming outside like a someone who doesn’t know the term teamwork or their task. This
system is not good to any organization because very difficult to organization to achieve
economic goal, economic development depends upon on working as a teamwork.

CHAPTER THREE

3.0ANALYSIS
in this chapter the things covered in analysis are the description of skills learned and
enhanced during practical training, review of how experience has affected career plans and
ambitions, what skills am currently lacking.
3.1The skills learned and enhanced at ILALA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.

Communication skills

During my field training I have learned that communication skills is essential and a vital tool
in order to accomplish the goals as in most cases we work as the organization and you need to
communicate with the management and sometime to talk to public in order to mobilize tax
collection then you need to be fluently good speaker of proper language in most cases
English and Kiswahili.

Time management skill

I have learned on how to manage time well as long as I am assigned a certain task then I had
to accomplish the task before the deadline in order to minimize the inconveniences associated
with submission of report late of a certain task which I was assigned.

Problem solving skill

I have learned on how to solve problem in the community where we was assigned to visit
them mainly for the purpose of tax collection specifically tackling the problem through

clarification purpose.

Computer skill

It is among the skill I have learned during my field practical training where in most of time
the importance of the computer was observed when dealing with Microsoft word in
preparation of letters to VEO, WEO but also Microsoft excel where I increased my skills on
how to use these application through the computer.

3.2Review of how the experience have affected my career plans and ambitions

My ambitions to work in municipals councils sometimes were motivated but sometime the
motive was decreasing due to several factors.

When working together with expertise on how to solve public problem it was a good things
and motivated me to be also part of management in future after accomplishing my educations
especially when working together to plan budget, tax collection and on reviewing the tax
strategies when expert was giving us direction on how the strategies we have to employ in
collection of tax also it was a good motivation generally good participation with management
on how to tackle problems motivated me to work as a town council officer

But also the difficulties and challenges the organization faced when I was there reduced the
motivation of being creative and my future career was affected especially when there is no
cooperation among staffs on how to perform the tasks, working facilities being insufficient
also reduced my motivations and ambitions, insufficient budget as a result expenditure
exceed revenue available this made me feel like we are not properly planning the budget so
we need budgeting skills.

3.3 experience acquired at IMC

Code of Ethics

In a Ilala municipal Council all civil servant wear very smart and there is no one who wear
bad to convince others to inter temptation such wearing there is wearing a short cloth, jeans
and body are well coved by cloth. And I will enjoy such kind of system due to that will
preserve our African culture and not humiliate the foreign culture.

Time handling

During the course of my time in IMC I had the chance to understand the essence of time. In
this is not only the punctuality or always being in time but how to manage the time you had
in a day. In the marketing department there was only reporting time with no limit to when the
day would end, the day would end when your planned daily task is done. In this the efficient
and effective you were in managing and balancing your time was very important. Working
under such environments helped me learn how to properly balance and use my time.

I expanded my theoretical knowledge to practical experience

Many of the matters that I was covered at the college were vey well correlated with the
practical works participated during the field works process.

3.4skills am currently lacking

Apart from having computer skills but I am not competent enough on how to use the Epicor
system which is the system used in preparation of cheques that are issued by the town council
but other computer skills I was aware with it.

CHAPTER FOUR
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
4.0 CONCLUSION

Practical training program has been an essential tool in widening students’ skills and
understanding in what they have been taught theoretically in class. It enables students to
experience different working environments prior to completion of their degree programs.

Practical Training program enables students to meet different challenges in their career
through working with different people of different levels of education. Taking my personal
experience; during the Practical Training session, I met young people having various
qualifications and responsibilities, most of them being fresh graduates from College of
finance management and who have success in their careers. This has entirely motivated me to
plan for my future career development.

Also Practical Training builds confidence and understanding to students in various fields
other than those which are within their career. For instance, by the time of being in IMC,
trainees were able to learn many things about Information Technology, something which is
not in Banking and Finance career but something in excess and which is beneficial. There
was further gaining of personal confidence by working with different people of different
managerial positions and different qualifications.

Therefore, Practical Training is essential and should be carried on for students to be


competent in what they have been taught in classes.

Since it is very essential for students to be practically trained for better future productivity
then it is necessary if students could be given enough time for training without fearing about
money or resources because if the country needs full qualified people in the business field
there is no way other than giving class and off class training.

The benefits of this training will not only end up to benefit the students but also the
organizations as they will go back as employees so training should be of concern to both
sides and if possible to become partners.

4.2 RECOMMENDATION

To the college of business education (CBE)

I recommend the following to the CBE in order to reduce the gap between teaching theory
and practical as follows,

Enhance computer practical training program

The computer subjects to be taught practical rather than learning theoretical this will help to
produce the best students who can be able to compete and match with the science and
technology used in organizations where we attend for field practical training. This
specifically an emphasis should be put on applications and the use of Microsoft word, excel
and other necessary applications that even the college use to run its daily activities.

Securing field placement

The College should help students toget place of field attachments which will absolutely
help students to improve their skills within their respective career to reduce and erase
the problem of performing field in an institution which have no relationship with the
course undertaken because through attending field training program the students broadens
knowledge, skills and add an experience on how the organizations performs their activities.

Change period of attending field training

The college should rearrange the period of attending the training rather than going after the
end of second semester maybe we should attend the training on different months because in
July most organization recruit many students for training.

Recommendation to the organization

The IMC should have work plan for the student who are going for field training to be able to
know what is he/she going to study at the organization systematically and record activities in
a good manner. This will help to reduce the problem of unorganized activities that is
randomly there is no flow of material systematically.

IMC should strongly stick and implement its policyand role of charging penalty for delay
of payments such Bills. This will simplify the steady flow of revenue on due dates thus

will increase revenue collected. Hence it will help to foster and improve the development of
Ilala municipal.

The IMC should make sure that there is no misuse of resources and most of payments
should be done through bank, will reduce corruption and bureaucracy. This will lead to
more revenue at Ilala municipal.

Also the management should introduce training program to staffs so that the work together in
cooperation towards achieving the goals rather than individual this cause lack of motivation
in doing the works.
