Daily Lesson Plan

I. Objectives

A. Content Standard
• The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other text types
assured as a medium of expressing or resolving conflicts, among groups or individuals; and also
how to use evaluative reading, listening, reviewing strategies, pronouns and structures of
modification.

B. Performance Standards
• The learner plays an active part in a role playing presentation through employing
effective verbal & non-verbal strategies based on the following criteria; Delivery, Voice, Facial
expressions, Focus, Body movements, and gestures.

C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives


• EN9LT-IIg-20: Use of conditionals in expressing arguments
• EN9LT-IIg-9: Compose of forms of literary writing
At the end of the lesson, at least 80% of the students should be able to;
- Get the value or moral of the story.
- Explain the theme of the story as suggested by the elements.
- Express appreciation for the sensory images being used.
- Giving differentiated facts in understanding of the main idea of the story.

IV. Procedures
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson.
•Average:
-Recall previous lesson by calling two to five (2-5) students to discuss what they had learned.
•Advanced:
- Give description and let the class tell what the importance of its characters’ role is

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson.


•Average:
- Assign groups to read a particular dialogue.
- Each group will play the climax of the story.
•Advanced
- Feel what are character's feeling's when they present the climax of the story.
C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson. Facilitate the discussion of their
performance. Process the student's answers in the following;
• What are the words enclosed in the story?
• Do the expression helps the readers in getting the message? Give examples.

D. Describe the story of the Ants and the Grasshopper by writing a phrases or sentences
that would appeal to the feelings of the readers.

E. Discussing new concepts & practicing new skills


• Moral of the story
• The central message
• Underlying meaning of the literary piece

F. Developing Mastery (Individual Work)


Reminder: Work individually & answer the following questions below;
1. What is the Major theme of the Story?
2. What is authors’ message in the story?

G. Making generalizations & abstractions about the lesson applications of concepts & skills
in daily living.
• What are the ideas or insights did you get in reading the Story?
• What helps you to identify the Major Theme of the Story?

H. Finding Practical Applications of concepts & skills in daily living


• Ask each learner's to reflect on the moral of the Story. Let them relate it to the real life by
sharing their experiences to the class (Give them at least 1- 2 minutes to share).

I. Evaluate Learning Group Activity:


- The class will be divided into 3 Groups;
• Group 1: Share the lesson that you get from the story through slogan.
• Group 2: Play the story.
• Group 3: Draw the characters and identify each role.
