I have intense desire to pursue research as well as teaching in the field of Economics along
with law as it provides a comprehensive inter-disciplinary approach to the understanding of
critical developmental issues in pathway of sustainable development. My interest and expertise
lie in development economics, policy, and management including forests with International
relations on business of Environment like MEAs. In addition to WTO issues related to trade
negotiations on environmental goods and services and NAMA particular of Forests and
domestic regulations on environmental services which is an articulate research area of interest
in the topic of economics. My inter-disciplinary interest is determined and guided by my
doctoral research, wherein the linkages between natural resource management, sustainable
development and population were explored and analyzed. For the last more than 14 years, I
have been associated with well-known National and International organizations (eg.University
of Lucknow, CRIDA/Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); Ministry of Environment
and Forests, Government of India, ICRISAT/CGIAR c/o World Bank and Mettu University,
Ethiopia), working extensively on development and environmental policy issues. Being a
scholarly researcher, I have strong background on analysis of parametric as well as non-
parametric variables with the application of statistical analysis using software like SPSS and
SAS.
I have also participated in the brainstorming discussion on crucial decision making on issues of
sustainable environment and forestry, such as, policies on eco-taxes, climate change and trade,
climate change and carbon sequestration through REDD; domestic regulations on
environmental services in India, granting Margin of Preferences (MOP) to China and Korea;
and definitional approach on environmental goods and services. Further, I have been involved
in Modelling on tariff reduction/escalation strategy on forests products at four digit level of HS
code which later was expanded to six digit and then to eight digit level etc. Moreover, I have
sound statistical background and my vast research policy experience in the field of applied
developmental economics and environment including forestry makes me suitable for this
challenging profession of widespread field of Economics for the benefit of society and future
generations. However, I am currently working in the capacity of Associate Professor of
Economics in one Public University of Ethiopia and involve in teaching at Graduate as well as
Post Graduate level students and imparting quality research. Additionally, my attached resume

My current research is on the relationship between Africa, African and African Union
examining the degree to which value assessments are influenced by both verbal and non-
verbal primes. I 20 research publications on multidisciplinary topic, each published in high-
impact journals. I am keen to continue this research at the University level given its expertise
in decision making and its strong policy recommendation for the betterment of the community.
I enjoy supporting students from diverse backgrounds and those who have followed non-
traditional career paths. I believe that the strength of a discipline comes from hearing a wide
range of viewpoints. I am excited to pass the experience I have received on to other students
who are supporting themselves through work while studying, who may have family
commitments, or come from a non-traditional academic background. The possibility of
teaching students and continuing my research at the University level something I am
enthusiastic about.
