EVALUATION PUPILS

COMPETENCIES IN
EPP(Edukasyong Pantahan
at Pangkabuhayan)
⚫ One of the most important of components of the
teaching-learning process is evaluation.

⚫ Evaluation determines the extent in which to the


objective have been achieved.
To achieve an objective and accurate evaluation, the
EPP teacher should be guided by the following
principles:

⚫ Evaluation should be in terms of selected objective.


⚫ Evaluation should comprehensive.
⚫ Evaluation should be cooperative.
⚫ Evaluation should concerned with valuing.
⚫ Likewise the EPP, teachers should be always that
evaluation implies the assessment of a situation of
abilities, knowledge, and of progress towards an
objective.

1) Evaluation should asses the attainment of the objective.


The teachers must evaluate in the same manners as he
teaches according to the objectives.
(e.g) in threading sewing machine the students should be
merely asked to identify the parts involve in the
threading process.
1) Evaluation involves the measurement of the
various aspects of learning.

• Home economics learning involves knowledge,


values, and manual skills.
• Home economics teachers may be equally
interested in the students learning of the principle
of the food selection.
⚫ Evaluation is means of discovering what students already
know.

• Every student has background knowledge on certain


thing but such knowledge varies depending on the kind
of amount exposure he has.
• His past developed skills can be a basis of instruction
(e.g) is in home nursing where a unit can be based on
experiences girls and boys have had while taking care
of a sick member of the family.
Pretests, questionnaires and checklist are the 3 ways to
evaluate what the students already know.
