speak in an interesting, clear way to students. She introduces lessons, then moves into her lessons, which are
carefully sequenced and planned out. She has been flexible in adapting lessons according to student needs, and
according to restrictions due to COVID-19 restrictions. She circulates continuously, providing extra help to
students as they need it and clarifying what is required. She closes each lesson and transitions well between
activities and classes.

COMMENTS:
Ashley's classroom leadership has been one of her most impressive areas of growth throughout PSII. Although
she has a strong presence right from the start, and showed confidence even in some dynamic situations
(schedule changes, student changes within classes, teaching assignment changes) she has continued to
become more confident and comfortable with her students. She is very aware of student behaviour and works
to consistently enforce her classroom standards, while also building a rapport with her students. She is clearly
the leader in her classroom, students consider her their teacher, and do not question her place or authority.

COMMENTS:
Ashley's assessment skills are growing and developing well. She keeps records of her assessments, gives
feedback to students, and has worked to co-create criteria with them to show the clear assessment guidelines
for the class. She figured out, on her own, how to correctly input data into PowerSchool.

SUMMARY Additional comments next page à

Areas for further growth:

Ashley should continue to do what she is already doing - reflecting, asking questions, trying ideas, and observing
other teachers. She is working to build relationships with her students and staff and should continue that as well.
Ashley will have more opportunities to build her assessment skills throughout PSIII has some large group projects
and writing assignments will be completed and she will be able to continue her work on different assessment
strategies at that point.

Overall comments (Strongest aspects of student’s performance):

Ashley has shown incredible versatility and flexibility already in her practicum. Because of the challenging
scheduling issues with the return to school plan, her classes changed, and the teaching assignment was altered
very close to the beginning of the school year. Ashley handled this very well and was adaptable and cooperative
in order to be a helpful member of the school staff. She has worked to be collegial with other staff members and
volunteered whenever possible to attend meetings, participate in PD, and help wherever needed.
Ashley’s PSII has been a successful one and she has shown the ability to reflect upon her teaching and seek
guidance when needed. Her progress is excellent and I look forward to continuing to watch her grow and develop
her skills throughout her PSIII Internship.
