Activities: Give the title of the song first then identify what figure of speech is used in each song. Share your answer in the
comment box.

B. Figure it out
Identify what figure of speech is used in each sentence. Drag down the choices at the end of the sentence and
choose your answer.

1. Annie’s memory is cloudy since she can never remember anything.

C. Figure it out part II


Look for the figures of speech present in the picture and give the meaning of each. You may save the picture
and encircle the part that have a figure of speech. Example is given below.

Example: Spill the beans- reveal secret information unintentionally.


Note: The figure of speech is found at the upper part of the picture; on top of the tray
Evaluate whether the sentence has a hidden figurative language or it literally means as it is.
1. The cat was like a frisky kitten.
2. The wind sounded like a sobbing child.
3. When angry, the child was as fierce as a hurricane.
4. The milk seemed as rich as cream to the hungry child.
5. The trumpet roared like a great angry horn.
