Interviewer : Who are these people who come from Bihar and what is
their purpose of coming here? (00:00)

In bihar the financial situation of the people is really bad as the number of
people below the poverty line is huge. (00:06)

They come to delhi to earn a living and to send money back to their
parents at home.(00:12)

Here they take a room to stay as they can’t afford any flat because of their
poor financial situation. (00:20)

Now, they are not getting any job here so they are going back to bihar.
(00:24)

Now, the economic situation for them is the same in bihar as it is now in
delhi, as 80% of all factories here in delhi are shut down. (00:28)

The people are in fear of the next lockdown which is anticipated, so they
have started going back, even the chhath puja is not being celebrated this
time around in Delhi. (00:34)

Interviewer : Do kids also come to delhi in search of work? (00:46)

If anyone comes here who is below the age of 18, I inform the police that
the kid is below the age of 18. (00: 52)

Then they explain it to them that you should go back to your home” (01:06)

Interviewer : Do you find kids like these frequently? (01:08)

Yes sometimes, when I do I hand them over to the police.(01: 09)

Interviewer : What was happening? (00:04)

(00:06) The information that we got for these busses led the team to check on
these busses.

(00:13)This bus stand that we are standing on is the biggest for the busses that
go to and from bihar to delhi.

(00:17) So, as and when the teams got onto one of the busses, people got
suspicious and things got out of hand and became violent.

(00:34) We had to calm them down and explain the situation to them.

Interviewer : What is the situation right now? (00:37)

(00:40) It’s a dangerous situation even now and we have to move from here as
soon as possible.

(00:45) We explained the situation to the people that we are here to help the
labourers and see to it that their needs are being met with.

Interviewer : What is the information that you got from your people as of
now? (00:57)

(00:59) Right now we are not clear, people are suspicious and awareness is
spreading. Everyone is aware of why they are coming here.

Interviewer : You and your team have investigated the situation uptill now,
what is the information that you got that you can share with us? (00:01)

(00:11) We talked to several drivers and passengers and found out that most of
the children that are trafficked here are from bihar.

(00:19) Right now it's the chatt puja for them which is a big festival in bihar, they
were telling us that during this time most of them go back to their homes in bihar
for the festival and only come back after.

(00:28) So as today is chatth, things will start from monday in a slow pace as the
expenses too are huge for them, so when they go they come after 10-15 days
later.

(00:36) so they will start coming back from monday as and when they find
themselves any means of transportation. So they will start coming back only after
monday.

Interviewer : The checking that you are doing here right now, do you think
this will create a fear among these people? (00:37)

(00:56) Yes, the places that we conduct these raids, even if we find 1 or 2 kids
the people there become aware that making these kids work is wrong.

(01:12) When people realise that this is wrong the cases do come down because
of the awareness.
