FIRST AID
CPR & AED
TRAINING

DURATION: 1 DAY
Minutes matter when it comes to injury at workplace. For instance, a worker falls from height and

is unconscious as a result. In this case, most people’s worst fear is what to do. It could be an

emergency situation that requires immediate attention before administering proper medical care

by doctors. It could be taking a pulse and provide CPR or containing bleeding, anything as

appropriate. These kinds of immediate actions are not some techniques that can be learnt

reading a book. Rather, employees and workers should be trained practically in first aid so as to

deliver the right care at the earliest. Being a recognized safety training academe has made a

mission of training the workers across industries involving first aid through efficient trainers with

hands of expertise as per the latest medical protocol.

Benefits of First Aid training

Employees are essentially the first responders to any emergency

situation at workplace. An unprepared employee or group of workers

caught by surprise would mostly be of no help or do more harm to

casualty. Time is critical and that is where this training helps employees

in dealing with such emergencies as they must be. First aid training

fundamentally helps in preserving lives, preventing complications and

promoting recovery of the victim. This training not only helps in creating

a safe place to work but also contributes to society when a trained

employee renders first aid away from your workplace.

LIFTING
AND
RIGGING
TRAINING

DURATION: 1 DAY

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. When it comes to

crane operations, rigging can often be that weak link. How a load

is attached to a crane can make the difference between a

successful lift and an unfortunate accident. And rigging-related

accidents can often be deadly, due to the large and heavy loads

that are lifted. A small mis-calculation or a brief moment of

inattention, and tragedy could strike.

CONFINED
SPACE
TRAINING

www.fawnvalleyacademe.com

DURATION: 1 DAY
Confined space rescues and recovery of victims trapped can be technically challenging due

to the environment in which they occur. Confined spaces are often narrow and constricting

preventing easy access by rescuers. They are usually either unlit or poorly lit so rescuers must

provide their own light source. Finally, confined spaces often contain hazardous materials in

liquid or gas form which can be harmful or fatal to humans. These hazards can be fatal as

they create a limited window in which to perform a rescue. The urgent need to rescue

someone from a confined space often leads to ill-prepared rescue attempts. Two-thirds of

all of deaths occurring in confined spaces are attributed to persons attempting to rescue

someone else.

BEHAVIOUR
BASED
SAFETY
TRAINING

DURATION: 1 DAY
Study of human behavior is Psychology and one known barrier to good

standards of health and safety is behavior of individuals. Some make mistakes

unknowingly and those can be trained but many individuals realize what they

are doing is wrong and yet choosing to do so. According to Heinrich, 88% of

accidents were caused by human unsafe behavior, 10% accidents were caused

by unsafe psychical environment and only 2% accidents were attributed to

unresisting factors. 75,000 industrial accidents were researched and results

indicated that 98% accidents could be prevented and controlled within human

ability. Therefore, BBS has become an important subject to prevent and control

human behavior on accident prevention.

HYDROGEN
SULFIDE (H2S)
SAFETY
TRAINING

DURATION: 1 DAY
Hydrogen sulfide is the chemical compound with the formula H2S. It is a colorless gas with

the characteristic foul odor of rotten eggs; it is heavier than air, very poisonous, corrosive,

flammable, and explosive. Workers are exposed to hydrogen sulphide most often during

drilling and production of natural gas, crude oil and petroleum products. Hydrogen

sulphide can accumulate in sewers, sewage treatment plants or hide storage pits in the

tanning industry. Well drillers, tunnel workers and miners may be exposed when

underground pockets of hydrogen sulphide are encountered. Hydrogen sulphide is

extremely toxic. Workers are exposed when they inhale hydrogen sulphide in air, and this

toxic gas is quickly absorbed by the lungs. For this reason it is imperative for workers who

work with or are in the vicinity of H2S to be properly trained in the hazards associated.
Learning Outcomes of Behaviour
Based Safety Training

Understanding the formation of H2S and its

originate

Different names used to describe H2S

Physical properties and characteristics of H2S

Occupational/workplace exposure limits (OEL/WEL)
