Write your answer on the bubbles provided below: (Use a separate sheet for your answer)

G. Engagement Direction. Identify the hardware being described by the following statement. Write your answers on a
separate sheet of paper.

1. The physical, touchable, electronic and mechanical parts of a computer system.

2. Main part of a microcomputer, sometimes called the chassis.

3. The “brain” or “heart” of a computer system .It performs all of the instructions and
calculations that are needed.

4. Computer memory that holds data only when the power is on. When the power is off, contents are lost.

5. Hardware that serves as a data pathway between several hardware components inside or
outside a computer.

6. Part of the computer hardware which converts 120vac (standard house power) into DC voltages that are
used by other components in the PC.
7. Magnetic storage device that is installed inside the computer and used as permanent storage for data.

8. A device that is used as a storage and uses lasers to read data on the optical media.

9. Computer memory that is non volatile meaning it holds data even when the power is ON or OFF.

10. The most common 'pointing device' used in PCs. It has two buttons and most have one or two scroll wheels.

Direction: Read and answer briefly the questions below. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering.
