Statement of Purpose

My name is Mahima Karki. I am currently studying MBA in School of Management,

Tribhuvan University. I am a fourth semester student majoring in finance. I am a person who
tries to give 100 percent in each and every activity I am involved in.

After my SLC, I had 3 months in my hands so I decided to work in a coaching centre. I was
good at calculations and accounts so they decided to offer me the post of accountant. All I
had to do was maintain day books, take admission fees from students and enter all those in
the system thereby generating receipts. After 3 months I joined college and since I was a
management student I thought to take morning classes. Morning classes helped me to
continue my job and focus on basketball tournaments too.

I completed my +2 and planned on joining BBA. I took entrance, gave interview and was
selected in Padma Kanya Multiple Campus. It was a dayshift program so there was no job
option available. While doing my BBA, I mean with the start of my BBA I made my mind
that I will look for MBA as soon as I complete my BBA. Studying BBA helped shape me in a
whole new different person. I was introduced to group discussions, presentation skills,
seminars, different project management or event management like basketball competition,
food fest. I was able to gain a lot of confidence and similarly build networks through meet for
sponsorships etc. After completing my BBA, I gave entrance exam for MBA and after all the
screenings I was selected for MBA.

Career Vision, Mission and Set Objectives

My vision is, "to be a successful person and constantly striving to be the best version of
myself."

My mission is," to constantly work on my skills, build up new knowledge and bring positive
difference in the lives of people."

My objectives to help me achieve my vision and mission are:

 To follow ethical guidelines while achieving goals.

 To obtain an increasingly responsible position throughout my career.
 To be honest and polite with people and work on my networking.

My 5 years strategic professional orientation

Before I start my five years strategic professional orientation, I would like to clear out some
things. I have a huge interest in volunteering works and I would really love to work in an
INGO or NGO. I have banking in my back of my mind too. I know this may make me look
confused about my career but I think that I am person who gives everything in whatever I am
involved in.
