Future Simple

 Affirmative: Subject + will + verb ex. I will go to the party.


 Negative: Subject + will not (won’t) + verb ex. He won’t see me if I hide.
 Interrogative: Will + subject + verb? ex. Will she clean her bedroom today?

Will = voi, vei…

Uses = Cand il folosim?


1. Predictions (based on personal beliefs). -> Predictii pe baza a ceva ce credem

Usually appears with verbs and expressions like: think, believe, expect ( a te astepta la), be sure, be afraid
and adverbs like: perhaps (=poate), certainly (=cu siguranta), probably, etc.

Ex. Her parents think she will become a great artist one day.
= Parintii ei cred ca ea va deveni o mare atista intr-o buna zi.

2. On-the-spot decisions and offers

Ex. The doorbell’s ringing. I’ll see who it is. (decision)


Those bags look heavy. I’ll carry them for you. (offer)

3. Actions and situations which will definitely happen in the future (they are out of our control).
Ex. Tom will turn sixteen next month. (We cannot control the fact that he is getting older.)

4. Promises (with verbs such as: promise, swear, guarantee), warnings, threats, request (=cerere),
hopes, etc.

Ex. John must stop smoking or else he won’t be able to stay healthy. (warning)
If you don’t do your homework, you won’t pass the test. (warning)
If you don’t give me the money, I will steal your puppy. (threat)
I promise I will do my homework later. (promise)
Will you help me with the food? (request)
