Case Analysis

1. Is there anything wrong with the manner the shortlist was prepared by Gloria?

On the basis of the case raised, there is a clear major mistake in selecting the
applicants for interviews conducted by Ms. Gloria Tadino. As the company's
recruitment supervisor of the HRMO, she is supposed to review and assess the
applicants' resumes and applications based on the company's norm. She needs to
put away her personal prejudices because the applicants she unfairly rejected may
be better than those she selected

2. What do you suggest regarding the preparation of the shortlist?


She has to be very careful in coping with her roles and obligations so as not to lose
the consistency of her results and the company's operations. She must dedicate
herself seriously to her job and to select candidates based on their integrity and
credentials, not her personal preferences, prejudices and feelings.
