Everyone is a math person in some way.

It is valid that correctly answering equations

is a learned skill that some excel at, while it
produces anxiety for others. That is ONE
aspect of math.

Therefore, while today’s math tests involving

calculations and equations are important,
they are not an indicator of one’s ability to be
fluent in math or numeracy.
