Throughout the semester, Kaci created lessons with aligned standards and objectives, assessments, and detailed
steps that included questions to check for understanding. For her assessment analysis assignment, she created a
science test and an aligned lesson; Kaci reported that the average score increased from 55% on the pretest to
92% on the posttest. In regard to technology, Kaci demonstrated tasks on the document camera, posted
assignments on SeeSaw, introduced and reviewed content using YouTube videos, researched ideas on
TeachersPayTeachers, and used Google Meet to teach virtually when schools went to remote learning. She also
recorded a couple read-aloud lessons for her class when students were learning virtually.

Provide Examples/Evidence of Above Throughout her student teaching experience, Kaci approached
(Domain 2): students with kindness and enthusiasm. She used a variety of
classroom management strategies such as count downs to gain
students' attention, clearly stated expectations with questions to
check for understanding, positive feedback to those following
classroom rules, and redirection. Various strategies such as a sticker
chart were also used to assist a student with ADHD with his
behavior.

During her student teaching experience, Kaci implemented lessons with hands-on science experiments, partner
work, examples and non-examples, developmentally appropriate videos, recorded read alouds when learning
virtually, and erased boards to allow all students to participate. During her lessons, she asked multiple questions
to check their understanding and often waited until most hands were raised before calling on a student. Students’
ideas were acknowledged and feedback was provided. If newly learned material was not understood by a few
students, Kaci retaught to those that needed extra assistance while others worked independently.

(Domain 4): opportunities, and PLC meetings. In regard to parent contact, Kaci
sent home a well-written, introductory letter to her students' families
at the start of the school year and participated in virtual
parent-teacher conferences. With one of her peers, she volunteered
to create a well-organized bulletin board for the hallway. All of her
interactions have been professional and polite.
