OBJECTIVE:​ To give everyone an understanding of Howard Gardner’s 8 Intelligences. Students will

learn what the different types of learning styles are.

◆ There are many different types of learning styles, and that may mean that some students

are better at other things than others are; can be explained as their “gift”.

◆ Having different intelligences is not a bad thing, since everyone is different and learns

differently.

● He is a Harvard developmental psychologist.

● Proposed the idea that there were multiple intelligences in 1983.

who he is.

● He also believes that the conventional concept of intelligence was too narrow.

● He believes that this theory took into account the fact that there are multiple

intelligences, and that it wasn't all about children’s cognitive abilities.
