✗ It is described as the set of factors, behaviors, and
attitudes that facilitates learning for an individual
in a given situation.

Intelligence
s
✗ What comes to your mind when you
hear the word “Intelligence”?
? INTELLIGENCE
- is often defined as our intellectual potential;
something we are born with, something that can
be measured, and a capacity that is difficult to
change.

19
THEORY OF
multiple
intelligences?
✗ Refers to a theory describing the different ways
students learn and acquire information.
WHO PROPOSED
THE THEORY OF
MULTIPLE
INTELLIGENCES
?
✗ The theory of multiple intelligences was first proposed by
Dr. Howard Gardner in 1983 in his book “Frames of
Mind”, where he broadens the definition of intelligence
and outlines several distinct types of intellectual
competencies.

21
WHO IS DR.
HOWARD
GARDNER?
-Born on July 11, 1943 in Scranton,
Pennsylvania.

- He is a Developmental Psychologist
and an Education Professor at Harvard
University.

- He is best-known for his Theory of

Multiple Intelligences.

22
✗ "We have this myth that the only way to learn something
is to read it in a textbook or hear a lecture on it. And
the only way to show that we've understood something
is to take a short-answer test or maybe occasionally
with an essay question thrown in. But that's nonsense.
Everything can be taught in more than one way.“
✗ - Dr. Howard Gardner

Learning Styles

Speaks to the understanding that every

student learns differently.

Visual (spatial), Aural (auditory), Verbal

Multple intelligence

Proposed by Dr. Howard Gardener in

1983.

Put emphasis on human intelligence can be

differentiated into eight modalities: visual-spatial,
verbal-linguistic, musical-rhythmic, logical-mathematical,
interpersonal, intrapersonal,
naturalistic and bodily kinesthetic
