CHARACTERISTICS

Water is necessary for the origin and survival of life as we know it. Water is
regularly available. Liquid water is an essential requirement for life on Earth
because it functions as a solvent. It is capable of dissolving substances and
enabling key chemical reactions in animal, plant and microbial cells. Its
chemical and physical properties allow it to dissolve more substances than
most other liquids.

The atmosphere acts as a gigantic filter, keeping out most ultraviolet

radiation while letting in the sun's warming rays. The Earth's
atmosphere protects and sustains the planet's inhabitants by
providing warmth and absorbing harmful solar rays. In addition to
containing the oxygen and carbon dioxide, which living things need
to survive, the atmosphere traps the sun's energy and wards off
many of the dangers of space. Ultraviolet radiation is harmful to
living things, and is what causes sunburns. Solar heat, on the other hand, is necessary for all life on
Earth. Earth's atmosphere has a layered structure.

The earth has a comfortable distance away from a star similar to our sun. That
is, they're far enough away to be out of the heavy heat and radiation zone, but
not so far that they're extremely cold. This just-right distance is called the
"Goldilocks zone.
 The unique features of earth important to life are water, substantial amount of oxygen, thick
atmosphere, power magnetic field, good size to support life, and has a comfortable distance
away from a star similar to our sun.
 These features relevant to support life because of the unique combinations of factors to sustain
a life. Likewise, living things needs water, oxygen, magnetic field to survive because without it,
we cannot support life to live in the earth. So, these features are very important to us to live.

 The earth has a comfortable distance from the sun, protected from harmful solar radiation by its
magnetic field, kept warm by an insulating atmosphere, and the right chemical ingredients for
life, including water, oxygen and carbon. We receive the perfect amount of heat and light to
allow life to be created and to support it. Because of this, we can easily believe that only planet
in the solar system can support life is Earth. Many of scientists and articles before have a
studying about this and give their own opinions and discoveries to prove that earth is habitable.

 Many changes will be happening because of the human activities. For example, burning fossil
fuels, are leading to increased levels of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the
atmosphere, which in turn amplify the natural greenhouse effect, causing the temperature of
the Earth's atmosphere, ocean, and land surface to increase. If the human activities like
deforestation, urbanization, and shifts in vegetation patterns also alter the climate, resulting in
changes to the reflectivity of the Earth surface, emissions from burning forests, urban heat
island effects and changes in the natural water cycle is continue it can have a huge change in the
earth’s ability to sustain life. As time passes by, everything will suffer and die if we neglect all of
this kind activities. All we need to do is protect the earth and don’t abuse the resources in the
earth.
