Course Name Purposive Communication (GEC 15)
Course Credits 3 units
Course Description Purposive Communication is about writing, speaking and presenting to different audiences and for various purposes.
(CMO 20 s. 2013). It seeks to develop students’ communicative competence and enhances their cultural and intercultural
awareness through multimodal tasks. This 3 unit course helps students to be locally and globally ready in the context of
language of multicultural audience. It also focusses on the power of language and images necessary to deliver effectively
and responsibly both in oral, written, audio-visual and/or web based output.
