Job Title: Township Administration and Finance Assistant

Project Field Offices in Hpa An Township with regular travel

Liaises with: Township Coordinator, Field Officers, Partner Project

dignified, healthy, and secure lives.

HelpAge established its office in Yangon, Myanmar in 2008 following the devastating
Cyclone Nargis. Today, we are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of older
people in Myanmar through expanding social protection, boosting livelihoods and
access to services through community groups and improving healthcare, particularly
tackling non-communicable diseases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance
Support Township Coordinator in performing work plan and financial targets in
line with the approved budget.
Ensure all the payments are in line with the monthly work plan and agreed
budget.
Make sure all payments related documents are along with detail supporting
documents and proper authorizations
Each payment voucher is correctly filled out including project codes and budget
codes.
Make sure that staff advances are properly recorded and enforce to settle on
time.
Update and Close daily Cash payment register on a daily basis and make sure
daily cash count is performed.
Maintain, organize and complete monthly expenditure files and submit to the
project offices with monthly cash expenditure.
Ensure that all relevant documents and cash balance are ready for examinations
by authorized person.
Prepare monthly Cash and Bank reconciliation statements.
Function as the focal person for cash delivery to older people and PwDs, and also
ensure proper documentations.

Administration
Organize and supervise the provision of efficient administrative support to staff
members.
Maintain staff movement register at the field office level
Overall responsibilities for the certain/main filing systems for HR & Administration
in Manage Office Equipment and infrastructure to ensure a well-running of field
offices.

The staff member is also expected to perform any other tasks as assigned by Senior
Project Staff and Senior Program Staff.

Person Specification
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Economics/BACT, LCCI (III)
At least one years’ experience in accounting with INGOs
Experience in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Advance computer skills, particularly in Excel
Ability to deliver under pressure and willingness to travel in the field
Knowledge of Administrative systems
Skills in good interpersonal and organizing filing systems
Cultural awareness and sensitivity; communication skills.
Organization and work planning skills.
Good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
Fluenty speaking in Kayin Language
