VOLTAGE REGULATOR

OBJECTIVE:
To design a voltage sensor that can measure up to 50 volts.

INTRODUCTION:
A voltage sensor is an element of electrical circuitry that both measures and monitors the levels
of voltage dispersed and dispensed through the circuit, depending on whether it is AC or DC.
Electrical voltage sensors measure AC and/or DC voltage levels. They receive voltage inputs and
provide outputs as voltage signals.
LIST OF COMPONENTS:
Following is the list of components required:

SCHEMATIC
WORKING
A simple circuit for converting a floating dual power supply is shown here. The circuit is based
on a uA 741 op-amp. The input supply is splitted by the voltage divider circuit formed of R1 &
R2 and given to the non-inverting input of the IC1. The output (Pin 6) is connected to the
inverting input of the IC itself. This type of circuit consumes less standby current compared to
conventional resistor only voltage splitters.
