Are the Information Given on Juice Boxes being Correct?

 Introduction

This School Base Assignment is to determine whether the information on selected Juice Boxes are being
corrected. The researcher will be investigating and comparing the calculated volume that is found on these
juice boxes against the stated volume by examining the staring volume after the length, width and height.

Thanks to all the persons who were very instrumental in getting the necessary information. The researcher
successfully accomplished what was required of this assignment.

Method of Data Collection

The data was collected by obtaining five different small size juice boxes from the supermarket. The volume
that were stated on each juice boxes was recorded using millilitres (ml) and was converted to centimetres
(cm) to make the comparison of the like terms. To find the calculated I must obtain the length, width and
height using my ruler as an instrument.

 Discussion

After gathering enough information, the results were not what the researcher was expecting. All the other
juice boxes except Dimes sour cherry which had less volume than the other juices, every other juice had
calculated more volume more than the stated volume. This just shows that juice boxes are being produced
without the right amount of calculation. A comparison between the juice boxes was made using the stated
volume showed that they were similarly related compared to their size.
A comparison between the Apple & Eve 100% Juice fruit punch, Dimes sour cherry, Kool Kidz orange
flavoured drink, Nestle Orchard orange-carrot blend all have the same volume of 200ml but their calculated
volume is different due to the different in measurement length, width and height.
 Conclusion

The manufactures that produce these juice boxes, tend to not take into to consideration that accurate
measurements is of necessity or else customers wouldn’t be purchasing any juice boxes if they are not
getting what they have paid for, you can easily sue a company for any incorrect information.
However, even if the sizes are equal does not classify that there will be the same calculation. Therefore, if
the measurements can be predicted their information would be accurate.
