From Table 1 and Graphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, we can see that in the 2nd quarterly of 2020, there
was a drastic change in demand. In comparison to the 1st quarterly of 2020, Marvex Bleach
demand had an astounding 300% increase in contrast to Carib Beer demand having a 33%
decrease and Smalta having an 18% increase. Due to the pandemic, there were vast
differences in the demand from the 2nd quarterly in 2019. The researchers had expected the
demand graph for Marvex Bleach to be sloped from left to right because during a pandemic it
was expected for consumers to buy more of this commodity even when the price rises.
However, the price for all the products remained the same as the government had made it
illegal for companies to participate in price gouging.
