My Reflection about the INSET (Day 1)

The first day of the seminar was indeed a great start for us all. We have
imbibed different sets of the best practices among my colleagues, and I was
absolutely thankful for their meaningful discussions. I have learned a lot.
Upon receiving their sharing, I was very stunned from what I had heard from
them. We have had the same experienced from the very start of our teaching.
One of my colleagues has shared his instructional tools in the virtual
classrooms. He has emphasized the importance of it, so that lots of students
really appreciate his subject. I have learned a lot from him knowing that it
would change the life of the students.
Another has given a chance to share her expertise in dealing with a
virtual classroom. She has discussed the flow of her class discussion using a
prominent mobile application that will hook the interest of her students. And
it was quite fun for me, because it was an absolutely renowned application.
It’s really a big change for the sake of good education.
From the very start of my virtual teaching, I’d tried to convince myself
that it was quite easy for me to handle complicated things in terms of Online
Distance learning. But when the time had come, I immediately held back and
asked my lone self that “Hey! Are you seriously doing the right track?” One of
my colleagues had given advice to overcome problems in terms of handling
Online Distance Learning.
Setbacks, trials, and other constraints are my every day struggles since
I have started. But it’s a normal kind of thing nowadays. How did I overcome
these challenges in this time of pandemic? What were the interventions I used
in order to have a smooth and flexible learning?
To be honest, this school year is somewhat stressful but a meaningful
one. During the time of pandemic, a lot of meetings, seminars, and other
conducive events have been the priorities of the teachers to achieve desirable
goals based on the new normal system of education. That is why it is not hard
for me to have a flexible and active learning discussion. The Department of
Education has continued the new normal system in spite of the crisis we have
been experiencing. With those seminars we have attended, we will surely
achieve the expectations of the students in this time of pandemic.
And now I have known that I am on the right track since I am not the
only one who has been experiencing struggles in teaching. With the help of my
colleagues, I will surely use their advice to surmount things to meet the
expectations of our stakeholders.
