NOTIFICATION

On the recommendations of the Apex Committee made in its meeting

held on November 17, 2020, keeping in view the fast spreading 2nd wave of
Corona Virus COVID-19, the worthy President, IIU has been pleased to
approvethe following as regard to opening of university, conduct of midterm
examinations:-
i) University shall re-open from Monday, November 23, 2020 only
for MS / PhD classes for on campus academic activities.
ii) All BS / MA / MSc programs shall continue through online mode
of teaching, for the week starting from November 23, 2020.
iii) Mid-term examinations shall start from Monday, November 30,
2020 through on campus face-to-face mode.
iv) Mid-term examination shall switch to online mode if Govt
decides to close educational institutions before November 30,
2020.
v) In case of online mid-term examination, open book model of
Spring 2020 semester shall be followed with 20 marks for open
book exams of 03 hours (total 03 hours for conduct and
uploading) and 20 marks for assignments / quizzes / reviews etc.
in BS programs.
vi) Mid-term examination for MS & PhD classes shall be of 25 marks
for open book exams and 25 marks shall be allocated for
assignments/quizzes/reviews etc.
vii) The policy as detailed at No.V &VI above would apply to those
overseas students who could not travel to Pakistan owing to
Covid-19 related travel restrictions and have been registered for
online teaching.
viii) IT department may arrange “refresher session” for
coordinators and HODs / faculty where required.
