DOES THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER BRING

POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY?

In my opinion the movement control order (MCO) bring a lot of positive impact on society.
MCO is the restricted movement order that been held during Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia.
All the Malaysian should be proud because we have the best pandemic management in the
world and almost win against that pandemic.
The first reason is the graph of cases is started to bend down and the number of cases is only
one digit. During the prime of the Covid-19 pandemic, Malaysia is the most effected south
east Asian country with the number of cases about a thousand. Malaysia nowadays started
back to the normal with no more restricted movement and all the shop premises can be open
now but with the new normal such as 1-meter social distancing. Also, all the activity can be
done without restriction.
Second is the rise of image Malaysia in the world, with the MCO empower all the state in the
world said it was the good initiative to prevent the spreading of covid-19 and now Malaysia
on the top of five in Asian for the reaction on covid-19 pandemic. It shows the people in
Malaysia were sensitive and aware with the surrounding changes and have good attitude in
following the rule.
Lastly, the effect of this movement control order is the improving the environment and
lowering the pollution. For a long time, the nature has suffered on our reckless economic
activities that often-wrought havoc on the environment. The prove during MCO the Malacca
river turn clear from cloudy and muddy and all the people around said that Malacca become
the second Venice Italy during the MCO. Also, World Health Organization (WHO) told us
that the release of green house gasses all over the world are extremely decreasing and our
ozone have improved.
In conclusion, there a lot of positive implication from the MCO it contributes in many ways,
through improving our nature, beat the pandemic and increasing the image of the state.
