FINAL EXAM: SCIENCE

1. What is role playing?

Role playing is an unrehearsed dramatization in which people think creatively about

actions that reflect activities that are expected from individuals involved in specified

circumstances. The learners interpret data presented about their role in effective role-playing and

then act out the assigned role following their understanding of how their character will behave in

the fictional scenario. This offers students the chance to be actively interested in thinking about

how they will behave in real-world circumstances.

2. How to use gamification as a strategy?

There are three main ways that can be extended to a learning system through

gamification. These involve adapting grades, changing the language of the classroom, and

adjusting the class structure. Whenever games are used in class, the instructor can change the

classroom setup and the grading system.

3. Tell something about assessment?

Assessment is the ongoing process of collecting, reviewing, and interpreting student

learning data. To make educated and clear decisions to support student learning, teachers rely on

the results. Three forms of testing can be used within the classroom by teachers. These are

assessment for learning, assessment as learning, and assessment of learning.

4. What is performance-based assessment?

A performance-based assessment is the evaluation of the ability of a student to apply

skills, abilities, and comprehension, typically in real-life situations that are close to those found

outside of the classroom in the world.

FINAL EXAM: SOCIAL STUDIES

Define the ff.

1.) Case Study

A case study is an organized, learner-centered approach that addresses challenging and

value-laden problems through problem-solving and decision-making. In this approach, learners

are charged with evaluating one or more situations and suggesting practical solutions.

2.) 3 basic steps in implementing the case study strategy in the social studies classrooms.

There are three basic steps in implementing the case study strategy in the social studies

classroom. These are:

 Briefing. The teacher provides a brief overview of the situation.

 Discussion. Students are given ample time to evaluate the case in question and come up

with solutions.

 Debriefing. The teacher stresses and clarifies the meaning of social studies and applies it

to the study and solutions of the students.

3.) What are the three types of Science Learning?

These are the three types of Service Learning:

 Direct Service Learning. This allows learners to come into direct contact with the group

or individuals in need.

 Indirect Service Learning. This includes students channeling resources for a specific

initiative without communicating directly with the individuals they plan to assist.

 Advocacy Activities. These involve students, on behalf of a particular cause, to

participate in work.
4.) What is summative assessment?

Summative assessment is used at the program level where outcomes are used to assess

how many students in a specific subject are and do not meet the expectations. Assessment at the

classroom level is summative as it decides how much students have gained for communication

purposes in a given timeframe.2
