Designed and developed industrial machinery, tools, and accessories for a manufacturer of equipment for
concrete grinding and floor preparation. Took ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, which I led from
concept to completion, including preliminary research, design of 3D models and creation of drawings using
Solidworks, the fabrication of prototypes using machine tools and welders, creation of BOM, coordination with
purchasing department, management of fabrication of production parts with vendors, FAI, creation of
documentation for parts and assembly manuals, and project handout from engineering to production.

Mechanical Engineer November 2015 - February 2016


Advanced Nanotechnologies: Barcelona, Spain
Collaborated in the design and development of Ultra-High-Vacuum (UHV) reactors to conduct advanced material
coating processes (PVD and CVD), thin films, and nanomaterials. Managed the start-up and fine-tuning of the
UHV equipment, and provided technical support to scientists and professors in the testing processes of new
instrumentation prior to experimentation and research. Additionally, I developed side-projects to create custom
testing machinery to measure abrasion and wear resistance in new product under standard methodologies.
Bicycle Mechanic June 2014 - October 2015
Fat Tire Farm: Portland, OR
Performed full service, maintenance and repairs to mountain bicycles. Overhauled suspension forks and shocks.
Processed warranties and performed daily administrative duties.

Serotta Competition Bicycles: Saratoga Springs, NY
Designed, prototyped, and manufactured customized fixtures, tooling, and bicycle parts in a factory that produced
steel, titanium and carbon fiber race bikes. The implementation of my projects required the use of CAD/CAM tools
to create multi-operation programs to control CNC lathes, and 4/5-axis milling machines. Provided support,
troubleshooting, and resolution to production issues. Trained staff for new fabrication additions.

INVOLVEMENT Engineers Without Borders Professional Chapter: New York, NY
Collaborated in the design and implementation of a water distribution system in Kenya. Managed and supervised
on-site implementation of the project. Conducted research for technology appropriate to the needs of the project
