Narrative Report on INSET- Day 1

In accordance to Deped annual implementation of In-Service Training Bautista Elementary

School held its own school-based semnar via Google Meet to facilitate professional training
and learning opportunities for teachers in a New Normal System.
The training covered four days from December 14-17 in the year 2020, wth the support of
our principal Mr. Randy G. Mendoza and the leadership of Inset Focal person Ma’am Cecilia
Reyes ,MasterTeacher I.
The session started at exactly 1:00 pm and was facilitated by Ma’am Amor Balanac, a
Grade 5 teacher. A prayer was offered by Ma’am Luisa Morada ,a grade four teacher, followed
by national anthem led by Ma”am Regine Villanueva, grade three teacher and the food for
thought by Ma’am Joan Cabardo,also a grade three teacher. She shared “Keep your Values
positive because your values become your Destiny”. Ma’am Johanna Manozo, Master
Teacher I gave her Welcome Remarks for the participants of seminar. Our principal Mr. Randy
G. Mendoza gave his inspirational talk that” Its better to fail in originality than to succeed in
Imitation”,he also mentioned that think something that is innovative and good participation by
Listening will give positive result. The attendance was also checked by Ma’am Jennifer
Nabong, Master Teacher 1 and grade six teacher. There were 107 participants present in the
seminar.Before the session started Ma’am Cecile Reyes mentioned about Training Reminders.
The two speakers for Day 1 were Ma”am Lyka M.Balanac a grade five teacher and
Ma’am Mary Faith Zuniga a grade three teacher. Ma’am Lyka M. Balanac was the first speaker
During the day. Her topic was “ Innovation in Teaching,Why It Matters.,she discussed about
the Importance of innovation .She mentioned that innovation required to create new ideas,
new methods and new products . She also shared about Jamboard that can be used
in any subject for all students. Ma’am Lyka mentioned that Jamboard is accessible via the web
of Google Drive or by mobile app. The next speaker was Ma’am Faith Zuniga, she presented
the use of CANVA.She discussed that using Canva makes it easy to vizualize and create
effective lessons. It can access this platform for free ,with no limits on offerings or time.
The day 1 semnar was essential and successful.
