Dear Zebra Families,

We had a very exciting week with the Gingerbread Man, Cowboy, Boy and Baby. This favorite fairy tale has
taken many forms throughout the years. We heard several different versions and talked about what was the
same and what was different. The children we very excited that we could create our own story when our
class Gingerbread man went missing and sent us on a scavenger hunt with a treat of cookies for our
troubles. Using matching games, kinetic sand and playdough we also created our own gingerbread
characters. This story sets us up well to continue our exploration of Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales next
month. But first we will focus on Winter and all the fun things we can see and do in the colder months of the
year.
