How To - Live TV Production

You will create a script and direct a 30-second “How To” live production. You will write a script,
create the director’s notes, create a team, and direct the entire production. Your production
must be 30 seconds (28-32 is ok, but nothing longer or shorter). Think about different how-to
videos: dance move, making a sandwich, creating a social media account, taking a picture, etc.
It can be anything.

What do I need to complete/turn in:

1. Script on WORD DOCUMENT (Google Doc WILL NOT WORK)
2. Director’s notes including script
3. List of team and positions:
a. Director (you) e. Video
b. technical director f. cameras (3)
c. CG g. talents (1 or 2)
d. Audio h. teleprompter
4. 1 picture that goes along with your production
5. Feedback/Review at the end of the project (this will be assigned at a later date)

What does my script/production require:

1. 30 second how-to live production
2. Script for the teleprompter that is exactly what your talent should say (must be on Word
Doc)
3. Director’s notes that includes exactly what you will say as the director, camera shots,
etc.
4. 5 different sources/shots (must include at least 1 picture from the video computer)
5. CG - name or names, website, instructions, etc.
