John’s NL – January 12, 2021) AltoMaxx Technologies is extremely proud to announce that this week
AltoMaxx became only the second company in North America to be granted their DNVGL Certification.
This certification enables AltoMaxx to use remote inspection techniques (RIT) as an alternative means
for close-up survey of the structure of ships and mobile offshore units in accordance with Class
Programme DNVGL-CP-0484.

AltoMaxx was founded in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2018, and has expanded across
Canada, with offices in Toronto ON, Calgary, AB and Surrey, BC, quickly becoming one of Canada’s
largest drone service and training providers in the energy sector.

Though the pandemic has hit the entire economy hard, AltoMaxx continues to grow while obtaining a
number of achievements in 2020 including becoming:

• The only certified DJI Enterprise dealer in Newfoundland and Labrador & Atlantic Canada;
• The first and only company in Canada to utilize the U10 Methane Emissions Sensor to allow for
fugitive emissions testing and analysis on a drone-based platform;
• Only the second drone company in North America to be granted DNVGL certification;
• The first drone service provider to obtain COR certification in Newfoundland and Labrador, as
well developing a drone-based Health and Safety program that is ISO 21384-3 compliant to meet
the needs of the Canadian Energy and Oil & Gas sector; and
• The largest drone training provider within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as well
as in Atlantic Canada.
